Yes, we have been talking about the draft since December. Think all our prep work is complete, time to draft!

No, this is my fav part, the two weeks before the draft. All the rumors and BS and discovering what teams actually think about players is so much fun. Seriously. That's not sarcasm.

I’m still having fun doing my own but I can’t listen to clueless talking heads who clearly have no clue and haven’t done their homework.

I can’t watch the TV folks. Nauseating to hear many of them being totally uninformed while being paid to be so.

Once I saw Maurice Jones mock Javon Holland to the Cowboys at #10 I knew mock draft season had reached its nadir.

He’s another perfect example. Apparently because he was a former player, he thinks he can just mail it in and say whatever nonsense comes immediately to mind.

We are at the paralysis by analysis phase for sure where we are only looking at warts. About the only interesting thing for me at this point is some small school players the Cowboys are talking to that I don't know anything about such as the guy from Liberty.

Yeah but we know they aren't paid to inform. Its almost impossible when you think about it. There is not one person that watches every teams NFL and college game. I just look at them as guys just taking up air time lol. I get what they have to do its the Colin Cowherds who straight make a mockery of it all is what disturbs me.

Nope. I mean I can't see how some of you might get draft fatigue but I don't spend that much time concerned about it. My anticipation for the draft is managed by having other interests that occupy my time and energy.

Also doesnt help that every mock has an obligatory 3 trade downs. Those simulators take out alot of the effort it took to make a mock, so you get people posting a new one every day.

Paid to do what though? They are paid to entertain. At least that's what I think. Otherwise, they wouldn't hire ex-athletes they'd just hire statisticians.
