2 first rd picks in back to back drafts is like a qb type trade, give the cowboys a ton of flexibility:

-have the ability to trade up for a target
-can trade back or even get additional future picks

Eagles for example had two first rd picks where trades netted them AJ Brown and Jalen Carter.

Even if the picks are late, that’s when teams tend to trade future 1st rd picks for a qb.

As far as flexibility, it also negates the loss of the third we gave up for Pickens. Also makes it much easier to get back.

One way I look at it is I believe this will be Prescott last deal. I believe with 75% certainty that these picks won't be used for his replacement. However they will give his replacement a much stronger roster.

I think the best way to maximize value is using a pick each year to move out and stack up assets. Especially day 1's

I like the idea of using both 1 st rounders, then trading our 2nd in 26 for a 1st in 27 giving us 3 that year.
Alot of times you can get 1sts by trading out of the 1st and into the 2nd. If its got a round 2 value, that equals a future 1st

Really creative. What happens this year on the field will mean quite a lot.

Things are getting much more interesting.

Thank you Jerry. You carry the load, fans aren't trying to. Go figure.

Yes, accumulating more assets with allow the team to load up on talent, why still having their own picks. Patriots used to do that every yr
