Don't like trading future 1sts.

Ansah is LONG gone by 22nd pick anyway.
Vacarro is not there at 29 either.

Had to give up 2014 and 2015 firsts. Would this be worth it?

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 18: Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina (A)
Round 1 Pick 22 (STL): Ezekiel Ansah, DE, Brigham Young (A)
Round 1 Pick 29 (N.E.): Kenny Vaccaro, FS, Texas (A)
Round 4 Pick 25 (G.B.): Bennie Logan, DT, LSU (A)
Round 5 Pick 18: Kyle Juszczyk, FB, Harvard (B)
Round 5 Pick 23 (CINN): Chris Faulk, OT, LSU (A)
Round 5 Pick 26 (G.B.): Landry Jones, QB, Oklahoma (A)
Round 6 Pick 17: D.J. Hayden, CB, Houston (A)

It was fun, wasn't it?

No.

Particularly since this is a deep draft and shallow at the top. Giving up our second and third round choice along with next year's first and the following year's first is not a good idea. Just to get to that shallow top? No way.

We could have ended up with the same amount of guys and still had the next two year's first picks in our pockets. Ansah and Vaccaro are probably better than what we'd find in round 2... but not that much better.

Lol giving up our next TWO 1st round picks would be horrendous.

I wouldn't do it, but just so it's clear.

The value of a 2014 mid 1st round pick is about pick 40-45 in 2013.
The value of a 2014 mid 1st round pick is about pick 65-80 in 2014.

So if you make a crazy trade now with value way in your favor, you are not really giving that future first. You could get it back and then some.

I'm saying he got good value or not, just showing what the historical values are for future picks.

Nice.

Of course, Lane Johnson will 15-18 picks higher than that. But if they l;et you have, ya gotta take it!

That was the point. Getting players like Ansah and Vacarro that late. If they all start sliding because of a QB or OT run everyone says to move back, but wouldn't it better to move up and get them. You have them for an extra year and an extra 2 years of actual play vs future 1st round picks. I have seen all 3 guys go in the top 10 and getting all 3 would be very solid.
