So, having watched thru todays Dline and LBers.
2 main things stand out to me
1) If I was part of the front office, the first thing Im doing is talking to the d-staff about Irving. Are his off-field quirks enough to lose his on-field talent. And if yes, do we have enough depth to cover, or do we need a day 2-3 guy to go with Collins if we pick up a 2nd rounder for him. (3-tech).
2) nothing I have seen from the Combine so far would perswade me from Targeting deRon Payne. All the talking heads, say he can get after the QB as well. First player for me, and I would even consider a small move up to get him. (3rd rounder, if needed). Think we may need to get ahead of Chargers. With 2 second rounders, target OG and WR. If that doent work out, Safety and LB also high on the list of wants.
We could do very well out of this draft if they play this out well.
( So long as Marrinelli finally signs off on Payne).
If not, likely to be plenty of players # 19.
Very, very interesting draft this year !
