Draft + Garrett

Do we even have a coach?

I'm fully confident that the team would be better if Romo just did whatever he wanted. Which means not only do we not have a coach, but we have what I like to call a Negative Coach.

His presence on the sideline actually makes us a worse team.

With all the coverage the Eagles been getting, and Bradford, I think Pederson already has it in the books.
Every show on ESPN and NFLN seems, half the show is dedicated to the Eagles and Bradford and their QBs.

So all normal, Pathetic east coast biased programming ....lol....

Yep, he would have to be willing to make adjustments during games. Hed have to learn clock management, when and when not to challenge calls and so on.

I love him as a motivator. I think hes done smart things as far as practice and really trying to learn from great coaches. Different sports but i liked him watching Mike Kryzweski (Duke coach, no way I spelled that right) and seeing his tempo and how a great coach does it. I like that he played under Jimmy and studied Parcells. I think he has a great philosophy about building a tough smash mouth team.

But at the end of the day he has not shown to be the tactician I hoped hed be.

Garrett has a lot of qualities that you want in head coach. He also does a lot of things that good coaches do, except actually show up on game day and make a positive difference.

Flame On.

I would rather see him holding a Lombardi trophy!!! I might add that I have not seen anything from him to make him think he is capable of it.

Edit: I do mean his own Lomabrdi trophy, not one that he takes out of the case to polish although if he has another stinker of a season perhaps he should become the trophy polisher!!!

I was pretty good at math.

Draft + Garrett = ?
0 + anything = 0
0 also means "nothing"
Garrett adds "nothing"
Hence, Garrett = 0

Therefore,

Draft + 0 = Draft

Is this correct?

If Dallas goes 12-4 all the credit would go to Tony being back. So no.

Just to clarify no really I dont believe hes a candidate for coach of the year. At all.

Agree in part but thoughtful post even if overall negative. Nothing wrong with that.

I could be wrong but I think what the OP means is that the result of the draft (EE + others) will result in such a good season that JG could end up coach of the year.
rAgain, not saying I agree, just saying that's how I interpreted the OP.

Oh then that's still reliant on Romo's health. If he's healthy, we mop the East and will be a force in the playoffs. Without him, we are maybe middle to back of the pack; Elliott or not considering our secondary and pass rush improvement (though I think this will improve once we get all of our players back in week 5; hopefully less for Lawrence) but not enough to do anything w/o Romo and rely solely on Elliott if we manage to squeak into the playoffs. Hopefully Moore/Dak can show they can win us a few games if Romo's injuries (if any at all) are short term and the team should be fine.

Then it's on to the big boys in the postseason and we need to improve here in scheme/approach undoubtedly and that's on the coaches.

Oh, Lordy.

He should be able to win Coach of the Year without Romo or Dez. We're the Dallas Cowboys, after all.

:D I know it's probably too early but maybe a new OC with a different passing scheme can help for '17. I know he's not going anywhere.
