I've noticed over the past couple of years that followers of the draft have become fanboys for 3 draft evaluators:
Todd McShay, Mel Kiper and Mike Mayock.
Ok let's eliminate McShay for the time being and focus on the other two. I've noticed that Mayock has become the popular choice of many followers of the draft.
Has this guy ever worked in a talent evaluation position for a pro football team? I'm just trying to figure out why this guy is all of a sudden the authority on football talent. I've been listening to this guy over the years and he talks as if he is a proven GM. If so why is just an analyst? I can understand why Mel Kiper isn't a GM, with the fact that he has a published empire.
