Haven't seen many Tennessee games. But I'm impressed o how smart he is and his size. Is he a better option than Kellen Moore long term?

Haha, better than Moore? Yeah dude.

Dobbs is underrated, imo. I watched the QB combine drills and I thought he was better than both Kaaya and Kizer. He was also an aerospace engineering major, so he gets major props there.

I honestly wouldn't mind him in the 4th to be honest. Takes backup and gives Dak a little competition, then if he develops and has a year on his contract we might be able to pick up a good pick for him. Good for everybody.

I am a better option than Moore long term, and believe me, you dont wanna see that.
Are you worried about lack of arm strength and picks? A physically better QB can who doesn't know this offense as well can throw as many picks. Kellen knows the offense and can manage this offense just fine.

Moore has shown he can execute the offense and that is really all you need from a cheap young backup that plays behind a rising star like Dak. There are a lot of development QBs that will be available as UDFA's or 7th rounders, I think we will bring in another UDFA for a Jameill Showers type project again.

Brad Kaaya seems to be more the developmental guy IMO. Not sure he lasts until the fourth rd, it is not a sexy pick and will not provide any results for at least a season, good teams keep this backup pipeline full.

Dobbs is not an NFL QB in my opinion. I did watch a decent amount of Tennessee games (have family that went there) and he kinda stinks. He does seem like a good smart kid, but I just don't think his arm is strong or accurate enough.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this opinion. From the games I've watched, he was simply underwhelming. He seems to be a one-read throw quarterback. And I thought he relied on his feet too much. He also never really looked confident in the pocket.

But maybe I'm wrong. We'll see.

Rewatch the final game of year 2015 Commanders. Guy is a noodle armed turnover machine. I am sure he is great in the locker room and will make a fine coach someday, but I dont want want him anywhere near the field in a Cowboy uniform.

I think Seth Russell might be a dark horse development QB.

There's something to be said about knowing the offense, the roster and being able to hit guys in stride. Is he going to throw a pick every now and then because of lack of arm strength? Yes. Will he also move the offense and throw his share of tds for the reasons mentioned above? Most definitely. I'm not sure what you're looking for in a backup, but if you're looking for someone much better than Moore, he'd be starting in a QB starved league already.
