Which PLayer would best fit the new Boyz Defense and why ?

Vaccaro or Elam

Vaccaro.

Elam will be a SS, and isn't going to give us much more than church, we need someone more rangy.

Vacarro. He's a leader and a high character guy. Plus I think he's more versatile. He played some corner at Texas too. I think he's the better Safety prospect anyway, and most experts do too, which is why he'll likely be the first one drafted.

how do guys know Vacarro can even play FS? he spends most of time in the slot or near the LOS.

If you could get Elam in the second round, then you would have a question.

Even then, I'd [prefer to wait on FS (not SS) and get Thomas, Swearinger or even Rambo in the either the 3rd or 4th if they're there.
Better value, imo.

meeh i wouldnt say he is a "high character" guy. he has got into quite a number of bar fights on 6th st. one i actually got see unfold at the thirsty nickle

He can track the ball, make a play on it, and can tackle.

Plus, it looked to me in what I've seen of him that Texas played a lot of zone, which he'd be doing here.

The more I watch him, the more I like him. Think he's going to be a real good player...don't think there's even a chance he's there at 18 to be honest.

I actually read 2 negatives is some minor character problems with not leaving a bar when asked to leave. Also lack of turnovers which was 5 interceptions in 4 years which really is not what Kiffen is looking for from the Safety spot.

I like Vaccaro and I like Elam. They are a little bit different, but not as much as they get made out to be.

Straight up, I prefer Vaccaro to Elam. However, when you start talking real world scenarios, I would rather have Elam in the 2nd than Vaccaro at 18.

Will Elam get within reach of our second round pick? Now that is an altogether different question.

Vaccaro only played down in the box, covering the slot more this year. In years past, he played some FS so the Pro's do have tape on him as a FS. He can play either to be honest.

Elam, I watch him and I see a guy who would rather try and make an ESPN hit then secure a tackle. Vaccaro did a little too much of this as well last year but Elam, he makes stupid mistakes. Late hits, head to head shots, those kinds of stupid penalties that drive me crazy. I don't love him. I don't know if he's dumb or if he just has that South Florida Attitude thing going on. I like Vaccaro more then Elam but I like other's more then Elam too.

He will fit right in on this team as a guy who doesn't generate turnovers.
Do not want Vacarro.
