since we're creating a new position for Scandrick, why not draft South Carolina TE Jared Cook to be a 6'5" 246lb. receiver? he lined up wide at South Carolina, averaging 16 yards a catch, and has the athleticism to seperate from even athletic defenders

had a 41" vertical and ran the 40 in 4.49 at the Combine

just an idea, and he's probably long-gone by 51, but I was curious to see what others thought

not a bad idea he would be kind of like a Calvin Johnson if not a Vernon Davis at WR...

Reminds me a bit of Colston, he came out as an underweight TE. IF we could get him in the 7th and he shows the ability, I wouldn't mind. Only problem is we have one too many projects already, someone would have to go.

I wish we would do something similar like that with Bennett. This guy needs more reps, he's hard to defend..

I have found a kindred spirit. I was thinking exactly the same thing. He is listed in a lot of positon rankings as a top 5 TE, but his game is pure WR. He reminds me of San Diego's Vincent Jackson, except w/better hands. But I doubt that he is drafted early in the 2nd, due to his inexperience and lack of a true position.

I would also love to draft Jim Casey as an H-Back. He has incredible hands and is really tough to bring down. He likes to initiate contact, very tough guy. If he puts on about 10 lbs, he could be a stud at FB/TE. Neither Witten nor Bennett are true H-Backs due to their length (I would put Hannah in this category as well).

lol, I guess we really are one in the same, because I was thinking about putting him in my mock earlier

I was watching him on youtube, and he's pretty fluid for a 240lb. guy, almost WR-ish, in fact Rice split him out wide as a Junior

If we go TE, I want Davon Drew. He is one helluva blocker. As our 3rd TE, his main focus would be pass protection on short yardage situations and ST blocking/tackling. I think he would do a very nice job for us. Also, if we needed him as a receiver, he is more than capable of getting it done.

I was thinking Cook would be more of an H-Back role.

I doubt we do it though.
