Was at BAM today with my son and briefly thumbed through this magazine. Noticed it was put together by Corey Chaveous. Anyone read through it completely? Is it worth buying?

Yes. I have it. It's the first time I've seen it in the stores for purchase.

It's got a ton of content. I am impressed. Now how good of a talent evaluator he is, I don't know.

Chaveous was a huge draftnick, even as a player. I remember seeing him on an interview years ago where he was talking about putting together his draft board, and joking about giving the team management some advice. He seemed pretty sharp too. Haven't seen the zine in question, but will have to keep my eye out for it now.

Yes, I remember Chavous on several previous drafts working as an analyst.

I remember him as a guest on espn draft day. He did seem pretty switched on.

Chavous has Demarcus Lawrence as the 4th DE in the class and the 16th player overall.

Now some of those are just odd. Hill the 19th best player when I don't think I've seen anyone even have him as the numer 1 back.

He is one of the most difficult players for me to evaluate.

He does some things better than most or all of the other DEs. He just finds a way to get pressure and uses his big 11 inch hands well. He is very good against the run.

On the downside, he doesn't have great quickness and probably isn't big enough for the strong side.

If they had a smallish super quick DE on the roster, they could use Lawrence at WDE in the base and then he could effectively become the SDE in the nickel with the smallish nickel rusher being the WDE.

Do you think he will go in the 1st?

The main thing to like about this is that he clearly is giving a unique opinion.

I really like Hill, 5 years ago I'd have no issue rating him that high, depending on the off field issues.

Yeah, he's taken up where Russ Lande, formerly of the Sporting News, left off with his against the grain evaluations.

C.J. Mosley the 72nd rated player in this draft?

Alexander

What's it going to be then, eh?

I thumbed through the book. Decided not to buy it. Just seemed sloppy how it was put together and way too many pictures.
