Some of these comparisons are just plain stupid. Sanchez to Matt Ryan, um no. Loadholdt to McNeil. McNeil quality starting LT, Loadhold journeyman right tackle. Mauluaga inside 2 down destined to have short career ILB, Junior Seau OLB pass rushing terror destined for Canton, laughable.:lmao2:

No doubt some of these comparisons are way off base.

But I can see the comparison between Maualuga and Seau. Both from USC, both the brightest stars on a team full of stars, both play LB w/the same intensity & physicality, both tended to freelance early in their careers. Will Maualuga become a future HOFer? No one knows yet. But Seau was not a pass rushing OLB, he was a chase & cover LBer, who could also rush the passer.

Seau played MIKE and SAM in 4-3 and ILB in 3-4. Maualuga projects to do the same. I think Maualuga is actually the better pass rusher while Seau is better in man 2 man coverage, Maualuga may also have better instincts while Seau had the better motor. But both are tremendously hard hitters w/elite intangibles.
