Draft Position after this WEEK

dont you have to consider Sewell
I'm back and forth on Sewell,Parsons and Surtain

Absolutely you have to consider him in my opinion; I am in the same boat as you WRT those three players. The fourth option rattling around in my head is a trade down. Obviously, a lot will be determined by the health of Smith. Other thoughts/question consuming my limited brain power include:

- The depth of the draft at certain positions.
- How will the Cowboys adjust (or not) their philosophy on importance of certain positions?
- If they sign Dak to a long term contract, then protecting his blindside must be a top priority.
- How confident is the team with Smith's health for the next few years? What about Collins? If both can get healthy before next year and generally stay that way for a few more years, then great that frees you up to focus on defense. If not, then you MUST have a plan to protect your investment (Sewell?)
- How much input/influence will MM and his staff have in their 2nd draft?
- Do we get a new DC or, if not, what kind of positions/players does he need to truly implement his system?
- What do the Jones' really think of their current LBs? If they are emotionally invested in both of them long term, then you can probably take Parsons off the table.

I'm hoping the Jags beat the Texans because I have more hope that the Texans can win another game on their schedule than the Jags do. If that happens, we can move into the #2 slot. Hoping the Jets beat the Pats this week. Jets have a tough schedule so I don't see us getting the #1 overall pick. The Pats are one of their easier games.

I think you'd have to go Sewell or Parsons (assuming they have zero interest in a QB).

But frankly, if say Fields is there at 3, I would bet there would be a few teams looking to slide into that spot. I think I'd prefer a trade in this scenario.
