As it stands they would have the 15th pick in the draft. Darn near half the league is bad, 7 in the AFC 8 in the NFC with worse records. It would be the 15th pick since either Dallas or Philly should win the division.

Tanking is the only option. This season had no chance from the start, with Jerry making Garrett a lame duck coach and filling the staff with a bunch of one-year rental assistants. It was a wasted season on paper, although necessary to finally get rid of Garrett. If we get a Top-12 pick, it will have been one of the most successful seasons in the last 15 years

When I talked tanking and losses earlier in the season, everyone called me crazy. Yes, I overreacted at the time, but look where we are now .

We actually pick 21st since we are the last playoff team. That's what makes the season even worse. We could so badly, win the division and pick in the 20s.

I meant if they didn’t make it and continued to lose. I should have clarified that but yes you are correct right at this very moment they wound pick 21 since they would be the last playoff team.

Where are we now? An organization with no unified goals, no identity, no vision, no direction. I am at the point where it's time to exercise 'load management ' with Cooper, Tyron, Zeke, Frederick, Witten, even Jaylon.

Eagles are 12th, we’re 21st. For mock drafts until Eagles game look to see who’s available at their spot. Hopefully by Dec 23 the future gets a little clearer.

That is not correct because we are a playoff team as it stands regardless of our record. Last 12 positions are playoff positions.

Basically I will be an Eagles fan on Sunday. Thank you Jason Garrett, this is what you have created

At this point I hope we lose the rest of our games, and miss the playoffs vs getting bounced out the first game of the playoffs.

Top 15 pick with a new HC and this roster could be a great situation to go get a DT or safety.

I'd love a DT, that said if they let Jones walk then they'll be taking a corner in the 1st again!

Not sure, he goes anywhere. He isn't having the best year and how much money will it cost vs replacement and how they want to manage their resources.

I doubt they bring him back unless it's on a 1 year contract. The plan was to get Dak and Cooper resigned and then franchise him according to Broadus and Eatman... looking like they're going to have to use it on one of them instead and some team will greatly over pay him!

I wonder what his contract will look like this year vs last.

It was 6, 266,000 this year. It totaled about 8m the 1st 4 years. Alot will depend on if the agent tries to sign him on his overall performance or tries to milk 2018s performance!

Very true.

I think it depends on coaching for next season. If we get someone who demands playmaking from the position might dictate how much is offered if any towards Byron Jones.

Cowboys will be in much better shape by missing the playoffs, and at this pace losing from this point on would be ideal IMHO.

After the Rams win, I decided to look at our current draft position possibilities.
I wasn't going to before the game as way too many factors still involved, and still are.

Of course if we win the division at 9-7 or 8-8, the high we can pick is 21st, if w get bounced in the 1st round.

If we lose the division but finish 8-8, we would pick from 16th to 20th. probably more like 18th to 20th.
If we lose out to go 7-9. This is where a lot comes into play.

Right now there are a lot of 5-9 and 6-8 teams. And many of these teams play each other, or play a schedule where they most likely lose.
The 5-9 teams right now the highest would be 7th. But going through the schedule very quick, as I was not going to spend a lot of time on it. I spent like 5 minutes or so.

Probably the highest we could get at 7-9 in 12th to 14th, And I really don't think 12 is possible. More like 14th to 16th. But still at 7-9 be as low as 18th.
