Draft prediction that'll piss us off but I think it may happen

Missing out on Jeanty won't upset me at all because we're not taking him anyway. I wouldn't mind to land Savion though.

If the 49ers doing this causes Dallas to trade down and pick up and extra 2nd and 4th.........and Dallas uses the remaining 1st on an impact defender (LB, DE, 3T), the second on DL, then uses the 2nd #2 on Hampton, and the third on Savion Williams or Orande Gadsen......and with the 4th picks Mike........Then way to go 49ers, and it wouldn't tick me off at all.

I simply don’t understand the Savion Williams love. I don’t think he remotely belongs in the conversation as a to 45 pick. Being big and athletic is great, but you actually need to have route running technique and greats hands to succeed at WR in the NFL. I see a jack of all trades, master of none gadget/kick returner

Every player has negatives coming out of college. Some more than others, of course.

My problem with him is that his negatives mostly have to do with his receiving ability, such as concentration on catches, etc. His NFL draft profile notes that.

Like if a receiver is a bit slow, doesn't jump exceptionally well, that's manageable. But if he drops lots of easy catch passes, doesn't have great hands, etc. that's a big red flag.

Maybe in later rounds...

I think Savion becomes extremely successful if he goes to Sean Payton's offense, and busts on about 31 other teams.

Go watch the TCU game against the Longhorns. Even though TCU lost he was a thorn in the side of that Longhorns secondary. He will be a solid NFL WR.

Agreed. I dont want him either.

The best game of his college career in 2023 is your reason he’s a top 50 player???

He consistently had great games. Not just against the Longhorns. And No. There are other WRs I would take over him.
He is a better WR than most give him credit for.

No he didn’t. That was 1 of 3 games in his college career he had 100 total offensive yards. There’s no world where he had “consistently great games”. Consistently good? Arguable

And I’m not saying Williams stinks by any means, or can’t succeed, but he isn’t a top 50 player in this class unless you’re just looking at combine #’s.

And you can throw out the stats all together. I’m talking about his ability to run nuisanced routes and make tough catches with his hands. He’s no where close to a 2nd round WR in those categories

I see Hampton going way before our 44. a small trade down and taking Hampton. before the draft is over it might end up being Hampton above 15

I gave up trying to figure out who goes where after the first 5 or so picks because with trades and 32 different teams with 600 different talent evaluators deciding who actually has talent and that invisible "heart" for the game, and the ego of the GMs..........I just know when I do the draft simulators, he is usually available in the 2nd. With that said, you may very well be correct and he may go in the 1st.

Jeanty going before we pick would be a good thing, IMO. Great RB but the position is super deep.

I understand
