I agree about Fowler. Shanle will get cut before Fowler does, IMO.

Fowler is a much better run defender, and is a lot more physical then Shanle. Shanle is a nickel backer, at best.

It wouldn't hurt my feelings if we replaced both of those guys

I've got no problem with Fowler. The dude hits people like Mike Tyson vs Robin Givens. He's good vs the run and good on special teams. I'd like to see him make the team.

Shanle? Solid Nickel backer, but nothing special IMO.

I've watched this player a great deal as well. I would not draft him with 18. I think he's a nice player and he definatly has quicks but it's still very up in the air if he is going to be able to play at 240/250, which is where I think he has to be to play LB in a 34. In a 43, I think he could be an excellent value and an outstanding OLB but I would not invest a pick as high as 18 for him. Not in our situation, as it stands.

BTW, what do you think of Jordan Palmer? This is a player that is very interesting to me. He continues to get better each year. Throws to many INTs still but he has some intersting skills. If he improves next year, as he's done the previous three, he could be an excelletn Pro QB prospect in the 2007 draft. JMO of course.

jordan palmer imo can be a very good quarterback. he has the arm and makes all the throws. he's very mobile also. he just needs to calm down and cut down on the turnovers. considering this is only his 4 year playing the quarterback position is outstanding. keep your eye on him, he may suprise alot of people. this year the miners should win CUSA easily.

I have been keeping my eye on him for 3 years now. Palmer is no surprise to me. I see UTEP play a lot. He needs to work to improve his game but he's come a long way. Also needs to get rid of the ball quicker. He has a tendancy to hold on to it too long. Takes sacks sometimes but then again, UTEP's OL is not outstanding so it's difficult to say for sure, which is more at fault. In any event, he's an interesting player to say the least. I almost hope he has a somewhat down year next season. He would be somebody I would like to get a chance to draft later as opposed to early. If he has another good year, his stock is going to rise quickly.

Jordan is a good QB, given this is only his fourth year as a QB, just like DCFAN31 stated early. the only problem is that late in games he starts throwing interceptions, i mean he cost us some games and the chance to go to the conf. champ.

I love Lawson or Carpenter in the first, but I tell ya..
we need to trade down and pick up an extra 2nd, 3rd, and recoup a 4th.

i would really rather go with a player with more experience than this guy, he didn't have too stout of competition in college.
