I was listening to the sports radio here in Dallas Friday afternoon. They had some draft expert - got in late and never got his name - and he was talking about pick 20 and the possibility of people down the line would want to trade up for it. This guy was skeptical. But he brought up the 2027 draft and the - at this time - wealth of QB's in that draft.
Now I am not here to argue the worth of any QB next year. Just to ask a question or two.
If some team got a wild idea and wanted to trade their 1st next year for 20, presuming at this time a package of two firsts could get you in the neighborhood of a top flight QB in 2027, would you make that trade? I get it that this leaves out so many details, but just give me your thoughts, please.
What if a team wanted to move up for twenty and you could get a 2nd or no second but perhaps a 3rd and fourth this year. Would you?
Would there be any offer where you would sell the 12th for a pick in the first next year?
I hate trading down away from talent. I also don't like trading up much either. Just curious what the temperament is.
