Round 2

-If your drafting a RT at 27, who are you drafting? La'El Collins. If he fell that far he would be great value, IMO. Real mean streak, which I love. I actually would be thrilled with that pick.

-Where in the draft do you look for 1 Techs? Who are you looking at? Anywhere outside of round 1. I like Eddie Goldman and Malcom Brown but both will go in round 1 most likely. As for later, there aren' a whole lot of 1-techs that I really like a lot. Most of the later round DT's that I would target are more 3-tech players.

-Based on who should be available, DE or Will at 27? IMO, the DE spot will be really picked over by 27. I think the best 43 OLB will have a very good shot at being there at 27. Dallas seems to like getting their LB's outside of round 1, although they were going to take Shazier last year. That is my preference as well. There will be some good 43 LB's available in the second round. At 27, if the best player by a mile is a LB then go ahead and do it. However, if there is an OT or CB or DL at 27 (for example) and he is rated as high as the LB, I'd rather go there in the first and get a guy like Eric Kendricks in the 2nd. With 43 OLB's normally sliding in the draft and with Dawson and Thompson ahead of Kendricks, I think there is a good chance to get him towards the end of the 2nd round.

- Day 2 HBs, who can break 1,200 rushing yards next year. Duke Johnson, Jay Ajayi and maybe Tevin Coleman.

-Should we look at WRs in a deep draft. If so, who and where? I wouldn't look too hard but if a highly rated player is sitting there in the mid rounds, I wouldn't rule it out. Still, I'd rather not them draft another WR.

-Do you draft another OG? If so who and where? If he is Clearly the BAP then Sure. They were willing to do it with Turner from LSU last year but since then we have figured out that Martin is an All-Pro G and Leary is a fine starter at G. being set at that position for the foreseeable future might keep them away from any OG with a high'ish pick.

-In the 2nd round the Cowboys select Garrett Grayson. You reaction. That he is a project QB and IMO, you don't draft projects in the 2nd round. I would also think that Dallas must really like the guy to pull the trigger for him that early.

Round 2
-If your drafting an RT at 27, who are you drafting? If they are there, T.J. Clemmings and then La'el Collins. I like Cameron Erving's position flexibility but for me to draft him at 27, it means picks 1-26 were worst case scenario for Cowboys.

-Where in the draft do you look for 1 Techs? Who are you looking at? I'm not a fan of not drafting a certain position in a certain round. It all depends on the player. If Haloti Ngata is there at 27, you'd be an idiot to say we don't draft 1-Techs this high. This year, Danny Shelton and Malcolm Brown fall in that boat for me, If they are there at 27, you draft one of them. I'm not a Jordan Phillips fan.

-Based on who should be available, DE or Will at 27? All things (draft grades) being even, DE.

- Day 2 HBs, who can break 1,200 rushing yards next year. Jay Ajayi, Tevin Coleman, T.J. Yeldon, and only because I've doubted him before and he proved me dead wrong, Buck Johnson. This O Line is an amazing luxury. By the way, Todd Gurley could end up being a "Day 2 HB."

-Should we look at WRs in a deep draft. If so, who and where? Always. Look at Pittsburgh and Green Bay who take a WR almost every year. Devin Smith, Jamison Crowder, Tyler Lockett, Stafon Diggs, Deontay Greenberry, and George Farmer are all guys I like.

-Do you draft another OG? If so who and where? Depends on player and situation. If Laken Tomlinson is clear BPA at 2nd round pick, yes. Middle rounds I like Jamil Douglas.

-In the 2nd round the Cowboys select Garrett Grayson. You reaction. Seems like a reach. QB depth is not great this year and spending a valuable resource on a guy I'm not sure is better than Brandon Weeden isn't something I'd be a fan of.

Round 2

-If your drafting an RT at 27, who are you drafting? Collins or Irving

-Where in the draft do you look for 1 Techs? Who are you looking at? 3rd or later unless Shelton falls. No one else does much for me

-Based on who should be available, DE or Will at 27? Depends...I'd take shaq Thompson over any de besides Ray, Gregory, Fowler, or Dupree. Dawson scares me a little so I'd probably take a DE over him.

- Day 2 HBs, who can break 1,200 rushing yards next year. I wouldn't count on any to do it alone honestly

-Should we look at WRs in a deep draft. If so, who and where? If the talent presents itself past the 2nd I say why not. I really like Hardy from ECU

-Do you draft another OG? If so who and where? I think there are plenty of guards in this draft Id take. Not like we are talent rich there. Max Garcia or Laken Tomlinson

-In the 2nd round the Cowboys select Garrett Grayson. You reaction. I probably throw something and yell something I can't type here

-If your drafting an RT at 27, who are you drafting?
I'm a fan of Cameron Erving. He can play any position on the OL, IMO.

-Where in the draft do you look for 1 Techs? Who are you looking at?
That terms is used differently by different people. When some people (like Stephen Jones) say 1tech, they mean a guy that can only play the 1tech on base downs and comes out on the Nickel even though technically they sometimes line up in a 1tech spot in the Nickel, that player is ideally not a 1tech only type player. A guy like Josh Brent is more a a 1tech only while a guy like Stephen Paea plays the 1tech position but physically looks like a 3tech.

If difficult to know about some of the 320 pound type DT in this draft in terms of 1tech only or 1tech that can play in the Nickel. They don't really even need a 1tech only because they already have Josh Brent. If there is a guy that is a 1/3 tech combo (Suh is 1/3 combo), then you can draft that player anywhere.

-Based on who should be available, DE or Will at 27?
You would be choosing between something like the 6th or later DE or the top 2 or 3 LBs at #27.

The top choices are probably:

Shaq Thompson
Paul Dawson
Eric Kendricks

or

Owamagbe Odighizuwa
Nate Orchard

- Day 2 HBs, who can break 1,200 rushing yards next year.
I would not plan on a rookie breaking 1,200 yards. If they don't sign Murray, they have to have a plan that does not rely too much on a rookie because they won't know who they're getting in the draft.

There are many draft prospects that could be part of a good rotation with Ryan Willams and Randle.

Gurley is the most talented, but might not be ready to start the season.
Gordon
Tevin Coleman - Runs like Murray and is the best pass blocker.

Some big backs that would be a good compliment to Williams/Randle:
Jay Ajayi
Yeldon
David Cobb

-Should we look at WRs in a deep draft. If so, who and where?
If WR is the BPA I would take one anywhere from the 1st to the 7th.

If Dorial Green-Beckham is available at #27 you would have to consider him depending on what they find in his mental makeup assessment.

It would be fun to have a super burner like Phillip Dorsett, but he will probably go too early (2nd round) for a small WR.

Tony Lippett

Tyler Lockett

-Do you draft another OG? If so who and where?
If I draft Erving he can play OG or OT or OC. There are several options mid to later and they have time to develop a OG/OC because they likely have Bernadeau for another year as the top backup.

-In the 2nd round the Cowboys select Garrett Grayson. You reaction.
No QBs this year, but Grayson is ranked as more of 4th.
