In theory, we would pick anywhere from 10-18 with the most likely of outcomes being around 15-16.

The Falcons beat the Bucs AND
The Jets beat the Bills AND
The Commanders beat the Cowboys AND
The Bengals beat the Browns...

We would pick 11. I see no way to pick 10th because two of the teams below us play each other.

If you look at that list above, I’d say if the Cowboys lose they’ll probably pick 16th.

But it’s not going to matter because they’re going to win the NFC East.

The Cowboys have 7 wins right now.

14 with 8+ wins now: Picks 19 to 32

9 that can't get to 7 wins: Picks 1 to 9.

That means the Cowboys are:
#10 to #18 (if they lose game 16)

14 is the median value between 10 and 18.

Of the 9 that can end up at 7 wins, 4 currently have 6 wins. Any of those 4 that lose game 16 are automatically below the Cowboys.

If the Cowboys win and the Eagles lose then then all playoff teams are in the 21 to 32 range. If they lose the wildcard game they should be exactly #21 because all other playoff teams will have more than 8 wins.

Win the wildcard and they are in the 25 to 32 range.

Win the division game: 25-28

Win the championship game: 29-32

SB loser 31

SB winner 32

Yep the worst scenario , no playoffs and a mid round draft pick .

That's actually not that bad compared to last year.

Last year we spent our first round pick on AC trying to save the season. It worked. We made the playoffs. But we still got jettisoned in the divisional. Everyone said that was still ok because that first round pick we spent early last year would pay off this year with a SB run. Didn't happen. Turns out as many said we were never just one player away. We had a ton of structural problems that one first round pick was never going to magically solve.

Its just magical thinking gone mad.

At least next year we will get no worse than a 15 in the first round of the draft. Assuming we don't win the division, of course.

From a drafting standpoint, every game we win from here on out simply compounds the massive error we made last season relative to picks.

But, I believe strength of schedule factors into our draft pick if our record ties with another team.

100% agreed, but if I can get Adams for a first and a throw in, I do it. He can make that much of a difference on this team.

There is virtually no one on that Jet defense, and he makes everyone around him better.
