I would give the draft a B-

I'm amazed that they are trying the same method as they did with Bruce Carter and Sean Lee in the 2nd with JSmith. Knee injuries and poor linebacker health haven't had great results. This guy shouldn't play this year. In the end, giving up a 2nd and 3rd to trade up could have netted a WR or DE for this year that would have an impact now. Crawford is better at 3 than LDE.

They doubled down on RB and Oline when it was not a weak position and next years draft has many potential pro bowlers (at least 3). The big problem for me this past season seemed a lack of WR speed and ability to get open. Their metrics (6'2 and 4'55) for WR are incredibly outdated. Disappointed they pasted on offense.

Successful teams have 2 top receivers. Dallas doesn't. It's hard not to like Zeke on this team. If Defenses stack the Line, can Romo and these receivers make them pay for it? I don't think so. They didn't draft any player with juice. There is no deep threat other than Dez and that's not even really his game.

Is Cole returning punts again? The 6 rounders are drafted for special teamers and back ups yet again but no one that will have an appreciable impact on the game.

If they stack the box, Dez is one on one most likely. Ill take that matchup any day every day.

you seem to have a bad memory fella. When Murray was here and they stacked the box, we beat them with Dez and with Williams who is the speed guy(do you remember him?)

Appreciate the effort but it's pretty incomplete in analysis. You didn't dig near deep enough to appreciate what we did.

They ranked 16 in passing. Dez can't do it alone. Look at the top passing teams in 2014 and 2015 and you'll see the correlation

In all fairness, both Carter and Lee bounced back from their major injuries just fine. Lee has proven to be a very good LB, when healthy and to be honest his knee has not been a chronic problem. He has missed games for a variety of reasons, and while he did reinjure the knee in 2014, it's hard to say we did not get value with that pick.

Even with Carter, he wasn't successful here because of his own inability to work hard, his college knee injury had nothing to do with it.

Dez did not do it alone and he will not. you do not read everything do you? I mentioned williams, we also have Witten, Beasley, now Chris Brown(UDFA from ND) he will make the team, we have Butler, now Elliot out of the backfield. quoting shango ' It is over
This was a great draft, a great draft.

Chris Brown UDFA. Yes!

Beasley. Awesome.

Witten. Can bring it as a TE but is not a #2. Got it anyway.

Butler. Score. 5th rounder that the raiders let go and can't stay healthy. Genius.

We don't need another true #2 WR.
You are beyond right sir.

Lee had surgery this past weekend. Scoped. Hasn't played enough to off balance the time missed.

Carter played out his contract and never lived up to a 1st rounder stolen in the 2nd.

what is your problem with our number 2 WR Terrance williams? You always leave him out. He is a threat. I am sorry we did not pick who you wanted as our WR, but it will be okay, Williams has done an adequate job and he will do even better this season, Beasley is effective as long as he works within the 5 - 15 yards out of the slot. We know Witten, and as I am a Notre Dame fan, a Nebraska fan and a Longhorn fan, Chris Brown could conceivably come in and take Beasley's spot, anyway do not worry about the passing game, it will be and do just what we will need it to do, likeit did in 2014

Again, outside of 2014, the time missed had nothing to do with the knee and by then we had already resigned him to an extension.

Carter played out his contract and never lived up to a 1st rounder stolen in the 2nd.

My point was it had nothing to do with the knee injury though. Call it bad scouting in that his mental flaws were not discovered, but the knee held up
