1
Miami
OT Jake Long
Michigan

He already signed a $57.5m deal and will start on the left this year.

St. Louis
DE Chris Long
Virginia

Their scoring defense hasn't ranked higher than 25th the last 4 years.

3
Atlanta
QB Matt Ryan
BC

New GM Tom Dimitroff worked for Belichick, knows they need a real QB.

4
Oakland
RB Darren McFadden
Arkansas

Al Davis is reportedly "intoxicated" with the 2-time Heisman runner-up.

5
Kansas City
OT Ryan Clady
Boise St

The 6'6 tackle plays too high at times but that's what coaching is for.

6
NY Jets
DE Vernon Gholston
Ohio St

Had 3 sacks vs Michigan, the only guy to beat Jake Long all season.

7
New England (from SF)
OG Branden Albert
Virginia

Flying up the charts, Albert played for ex-Belichick assistant Al Groh.

8
New Orleans (up from 10)
DT Glenn Dorsey
LSU

The Saints move up 2 spots, giving the Ravens their 2nd round pick.

9
Cincinnati
DT Sedrick Ellis
USC

Best player available ("BPA") and he fills a big need. They're ecstatic.

10
Baltimore (down from 8)
CB D. Rodgers-Cromartie
Tenn St

GM Ozzie Newsome is a BPA guy and we believe Ro-Cro is just that.

11
Buffalo
WR Devin Thomas
Mich St

NFL Network's Charles Davis compared Thomas to Anquan Boldin.

12
Arizona (up from 16)
CB Leodis McKelvin
Troy

The Cardinals give the Broncos their 2nd round pick (50th) to move up.

13
Carolina
RB Rashard Mendenhall
Illinois

We agree with Brad Thomas of PantherInsider.com, Mendy's the pick.

14
Chicago
OT Jeff Otah
Pitt

They have big issues up front and didn't address them in free agency.

15
Detroit
DE Derrick Harvey
Florida

No one forget his 3 sacks & fumble rec. vs Ohio State in the 2007 BCS.

16
Denver (down from 12)
RB Jonathan Stewart
Oregon

Insider told us RB coach Bobby Turner has (Sssh) talked to Stewart a lot.

17
Kansas City (from Minn)
CB Mike Jenkins
South FL

They got this pick in the Jared Allen trade. Jenkins will start on day one.

18
Houston
CB Aqib Talib
Kansas

He had a marijuana cloud over him but his coach said he's past that now.

19
Philadelphia
WR DeSean Jackson
Cal

Electric WR who can thrive in a pure WCO plus he shines on punt returns.

20
Tampa Bay
QB Brian Brohm
Louisville

Gruden often avoids young QBs but Brian has that Gannon-like footwork.

21
Washington
LB Keith Rivers
USC

The Steal of the Draft: Rivers is their middle linebacker of the future.

22
Dallas (from Clev)
RB Felix Jones
Arkansas

Razorback alum Jerry Jones lands his speed back to pair with Barber.

23
Pittsburgh
WR Limas Sweed
Texas

Roethlisberger has been begging for a big WR but OL is the real need.

24
Jacksonville (up from 26)
DE Phillip Merling

They give the Titans a 3rd (from the Marcus Stroud trade) to move up.

25
Seattle
OT Chris Williams
Vandy

He can start on the right initially, then take over at LT for Walter Jones.

Tennessee (down from 24)
WR Andre Caldwell
Florida

Surprise 1st rounder #1: Caldwell is an all-around wideout who blocks.

27

No way, I could stand the Mayo pick, but we need CB more than LB even with Ayodele gone.

I would NOT be a happy camper if we drafted yet another LB in the first round.

The Cowboys, in no particular order will pick a rb and cb with their first 2 picks. My preference would be for rb Stewart, and for cb Cason.

Mayo is a surprise pick but a great one. Finally an ILD (other then Zack Thomas) who can play the run & is also very good in pass coverage. Thomas' addition ensures we finally might be able to stop other teams from continuing their drives by consistently hitting us in the middle of the field. Mayo will have a chance to learn from Thomas & is huge upgrade at ILB. The addition of Pacman (if he reinstated/stops hitting so many police blotters) & an ILB like Mayo (although it more likely we draft Beau Bell in either 3rd or 4th round) should be big upgrade on Wade's defense.
