While I appreciate the overall effort over the many weeks leading up to the draft, to me, the way they end up with their full mock draft leaves a whole lot to be desired. We're supposed to listen for minutes on-end as Broaddus essentially spouts all the picks time will allow, and pausing for a few seconds for a group opinion as to who the Cowboys should select. It's just very convoluted, especially when Broaddus admits to going off the grid with his New England picks. I don't see why he or they think that exercise somehow is helpful or informative.

Next year, how bout they divvy up all the teams, and each guy takes turns, being responsible for picking for a team he's actually reviewed to some degree. Do that for 2 rounds. That might actually be interesting.

Am I wrong?

You're right. It was beyond boring. I was very disappointed.in fact I was looking forward to it all morning, but I tuned out early because it was so poorly done.

I suggested they do three mocks.

1. Trade up mock... Whether that be trading up in first or second round.
2. Trade down mock. Trading down in the first.
3. Stay at each spot and pick.

That way you might get a good idea of different scenarios.

What's funny about that is weeks ago when Dane was bringing up Gaulden, Broadass didn't even know who he was. He's a bafoon

I'm glad that I've avoided the Draft Show this year. It was something I enjoyed a lot last year, but just hearing Broaddus' views and opinions on the other shows (Break and Talkin' Cowboys) as well as reading some of it here and on Twitter, I fundamentally disagree with his entire approach.

The utter nonsense of trading most of your draft away for another weakside linebacker in Roquan Smith is insane. And anyone suggesting it, much less getting worked up when others don't fall in line with him, isn't someone who's opinions I'll value.

And I continue to be amazed how people who are that close to the team still fail to see the value of investing in the trenches. Not only have they seen what happened for years when they continued to draft players high that played well away from the ball, but they saw just last year what happens when this offensive line isn't working the way it should.

And yet what do I continue to see from them? Wide receivers and linebackers 1 and 2.

heres the real issue THE DRAFT ITSEL IT 100% SPECUALTION AND ADD and theres too much time between the Combine and draft, the speculation and mocks are beaten into submission..No one can even guess whats going to happen with any accuracy until the firt 10 teams pick, and only then will the next 10 be determined and so on.. so even on draft day, its guessing..if there 100 mocks not one will have anything above a 60% accuracy..id say that straight up guessing..all this chatter is simply a time waster to bridge the gap in the off season to finally get us to Mini camps..I know they wont do it but they should have the draft the first week of April, too much time passes from the Combine and Pro Days for schools to show more than they did at draft, a waste of time..pretty much anything thats nearly Predetermined structure of a glorified practice with a script.. all more redundant nonsense IMO
