Ummm...we need a CB more than a WR. Also, I think we are going to see either Walker or Roy Williams in Cowboys uniform next season.

I dont know why everyone is so darn high on Walker. The dude has done nothing but ***** and complain in Greenbay and Denver and the last year and a half, or so, of football he's been hurt all the time.

It's one thing to take a chance on a guy like T.O. who complains but to take a chance on Walker? The guy will probably want out of Dallas by the middle of the year cause he won't be happy enough.

"Everone" is NOT high on Walker, I like him, but have no desire to see him on the Cowboys. I don't think he's a complainer, he should have held out in Greenbay.

He wanted to get paid, started holding out, Brett "The God" Favre said something stupid on T.V. and he showed up to be a team player without a new contract, blew out his knee and was dumped. He should have held out and stuck to his guns, now his career is spiraling out of control.

Well, TO was unhappy in SF and Philly. Look at how happy he is with Dallas and Romo. Who would be happy with what is going on in Denver anyways. All of a sudden, in the middle of the season, they get into the rebuild mode.

Plus, I think Romo has the nag to tame those wild WRs and keep them happy.

T.O. hadn't blown out his knee... twice. You want to go from one WR with a bad knee to another?

Maybe but I wouldn't count too highly on it. Walker just seems like an over-rated mistake, to me.

But I've been wrong before.

Say what you want, but he would be a solid pick up for the right money. That is the thing though, I think he is going to want a big fat contract and that is why I think RW or Fitz are more of a possibility.

Did you miss the #22 pick in this mock?

No, but I thought this mock draft was good because it addressed the CB position very well. I am not too crazy about Reeves and Henry is only getting older.

Hard to get 4 picks out of 3 choices though since day 1 is only 2 rounds now.

I forgot about that.....but I still would like to see 2 CBs, a Wr and a RB with our first 4 picks.

That's pretty solid, although I'd prefer it if we addressed WR a bit more. Now if we land a WR via FA or trade, I'd be very happy w/ this draft.

Right, that's what I thought. Insteead of using the pick on a FB, use it on another WR or CB / OL

I agree. I'd take a OL instead of another FB. I thought Anderson played well as a rookie.

Schmitt would eat Anderson for lunch.

I'm still not interested in drafting a FB if there is a better choice on the board at either CB, WR or OL.

I didn't see Avery being off the board in that mock draft when we taje Johnson. Id that happens on draft day I would rather take Avery to develop. Not likely to get a WR ready to make an impact late in the third round anyway.

Donnie Avery Height: 5-11 | Weight: 190 | 40-Time: 4.35

Official Bio

two.gif
Strengths:
Excellent timed speed...Has a burst and can separate...Adequate height...Smooth athlete...Good ball skills and body control...A deep threat who will stretch the field vertically...Has soft hands...A hard worker with good intangibles...Productive...Has a lot of experience...Great special teamer who has returned both kicks and punts.

Weaknesses:
Does not have the ideal bulk that you look for...Is not a great route runner...Isn't very strong or physical...Struggles when jammed at the line...Won't do much after the catch...Doesn't work the middle of the field much...He is not much of a blocker.

Notes:
Played in a pass-happy system in college...Is somewhat one-dimensional...He is a long way away from being a polished and well-rounded receiver and will need to be developed but you just can't teach the type of pure speed he has...Will light it up in workouts but might never be more than a #3 or #4 option and a return guy.
