How about this to fill two needs in a creative way.

What if we traded our no 4 pick to the Rams for their no 15 pick and Aaron Donald?

The Rams might be moving to LA. They have a stout defense and losing one player wont kill them but they need a legit QB. They have a great RB and a decent set of receivers. A QB like Lynch would make a world of difference.

At pick 15 Wentz or Elliott

What say you?

I'd do it in a heartbeat...but there's absolutely zero chance they would. Donald is a 24 y/o 1st team All-Pro interior pass rusher that has 20 sacks in his first 2 seasons.

As far as QB goes...the Rams could sign a vet, and then possibly take Wentz. Or, they could potentially look to trade up...but Donald wouldn't be part of any package.

Wentz may not be there at 15

he may not, but it should have little to do with this game. he is playing very well, but NDSU is just dominating Jacks St on all fronts. The int really was not a big deal given the conext of the game (time running out in half, way beyond FG range, deep enough that Jacks St. couldn't do anything with it), but he has thrown several passes that would be picked off against higher competition.

Senior Bowl will be where he rises or is cemented as a second round guy.

Always a possibility...which is why I mentioned 'possibly'.

Think the Senior Bowl will be the biggest event for Wentz. Liked the list they did of FCS players throughout the years in the NFL at halftime of the game.

Maybe they'll throw in Gurley for our second rounder too!

The Rams moving doesn't have anything to do with trading up.

I just meant if they move to a new city they might want to make a big splash and trade up to get a QB to fill the seats. A fresh start if you will with a young QB to go with their 2nd year RB and young receivers. I guess it is a pipe dream but just dreaming up ways to fill more holes with limited resources.

Exactly. Why would they trade their best def player.

Teams will sometimes go to extremes to get their QB if they are high enough on him. Look no further than what the Commanders did to get RG III. Fisher doesn't seem like the type to do that though admittedly.

Trading draft picks is one thing, and adding an all pro DT who is in his second year is not similar.

And as high as I am on Goff and Lynch, neither is the prospect that RG3 was coming out. There was no doubt Luck was going #1 and very early in the draft process, it was clear that either CLE o WSH would trade up to #2 for RG3. While I'm leaning towards taking a QB at #4, a bad pro-day performance by either could easily push them out of the top 10 or 15.

Yeah it's unlikely. The diff between picks 4 and 15 is 750 points which is the equivalent of about pick 24. If several teams were interested in trading up maybe they would overpay but being pick 4 makes it unlikely since Someone could trade up with S.D.

They could trade up to 4 with their 1st, 2nd and 2nd(from PHI) and keep Donald.
