27 DALLAS COWBOYS: CHARLES BROWN, OT, SOUTHERN CAL
Scouting Report
Even before the release of Flozell Adams the chatter indicated that Dallas was leaning toward taking an offensive linemen in round one. Sure the team says they have confidence in Doug Free but he is relatively unproven and a franchise with Super Bowl aspirations can’t afford to take that kind of chance at the critical left tackle position. Rumor has it Charles Brown is a late riser up draft boards so he could go earlier than this
but if he’s available the Cowboys might pounce. If Brown is gone Dallas could turn their attention to Mike Iupati, Maurkice Pouncey, Bruce Campbell or perhaps even Vladimir Ducasse. The Cowboys supposedly like Dez Bryant so he is an option, whether it be here or in a trade up, and Golden Tate would be a good fit as well. Taylor Mays may be a possibility as a replacement for Ken Hamlin and keep an eye on defensive ends like Jared Odrick and Tyson Alualu too
--Hes a LT only so I doubt it. At least Saffold is versatile. And if ET really is there at 23 then trading w/ GB to jump Philly is a no brainer. They can get Charles Brown or a CB at 27 no problem--
59 DALLAS COWBOYS: CHRIS COOK, S, VIRGINIA
Scouting Report
Could be just the type of tall, rangy coverage safety they have been searching for.
90 DALLAS COWBOYS: CARLTON MITCHELL, WR, SOUTH FLORIDA
Scouting Report
To say Roy Williams has not lived up to expectations would be an understatement.
