Lockout list includes those players that do not fit a teams Profile for the position or team needs priority.

Ray Rice and D. Jackson (wr) among their list for Dallas.......

hope this is not a rehash ...sorry if it is

I would take Ray Rice in a heartbeat if he were available in the 2nd round.

In their draft they have us taking Aqib Talib with pick number 22 and they not that it would be a reach by four spots. Then they have Cromartie going 30th to Green Bay and it being a value of +11. Why wouldn't we just take Cromartie if he had better value at pick 22?

Why take Antonio Cromartie II when you can take Anthony Henry II? :banghead:

He's tempting but his style is similar to MB3's isn't it? Not a gamebreaker type but a pound the rock type guy...

I see him as similar to Emmitt, very few negative runs, but enough speed to take it all the way, value in the 2nd for sure

Behind our huge huge OLine......he would just disappear from view and pop into the open space..........much like emmitt was able to do..

give me CB @ 22, J.Hardy wr @ 28........trade up as needed for R.Rice in 2nd

I'd have me another Black Label and water.....

freakin yes man. thats why i dont get the love for rice, stewart and mendenhall. they are all probably going to be quality backs. (always one has to bust). but if we keep barber why would be want two pound the rock guys? wouldnt a slaton, jones, charles , johnson. even mcfadden be a little more wise . i dont know imo

That is EXACTLY the draft I want! I'm getting tired of mock drafts with us taking Felix Jones. I'm sure he's fine, but I don't think there are too many backs in this draft much better than Rice and he can be had in the 2nd. The key to this draft is getting that CB pick right. The guy's gotta be able to contribute right away in the nickel. The rest just need to be role players at first. In this era of free agency, it is incredibly rare to come off of a 13-3 season, not lose a starter, and have 2 first round picks. Dallas is poised to have a SB season if they have a solid draft and stay healthy next year. Just keepin' those fingers crossed...:crossed:

There are reasons as to why he's a consensus round two pick with probably 4-6 other RBs going first.

Not saying you haven't and you're entitled to your opinion but I don't think a lot of people posting have actually looked at at least some visual evidence of how these people are playing.

Rice is not a jr Maurice Drew-Jones and has no similarities to E Smith in college unless you think they have similar builds/height/weight. I think he could be a decent RB but I don't see him being a starting RB right now. Just because Rice is obtainable doesn't make him appealing if that's the case. I certainly wouldn't trade up for him. He doesn't have speed. Drew-Jones does. And I've not seen any moves from the guy.

Trade up for Stewart or Mendenhall. There is a reason they are considered the 2/3 RBs in the draft. Some think Stewart is better BTW. But they look far better than Rice.

And Felix Jones is shown falling to the boys because he will be available with the 22nd pick according to many and the Boys need a RB. Since he's a Hog and is a very good compliment to MBIII then he's a trendy pick for the boys. IMO, if he's there at 22 pick him. If he's there at 28 pick him. And I would trade up into the top of the second for him if he was available and we used our 22/28 pick for other positions.

Rant mode off.

I'm not as sold on Jones as I used to be. His 6 reps (bench press) at the combine raises some serious questions. The first and most obvious is, of course, his strength. Can you really count on a guy that can only bench 225 6 times to pick up the blitz against a Shawn Merriman? He would get his lunch eaten and our QB killed. The second concern, and maybe most important, was the fact that he failed at all to train for this obvious deficiency in his game and physique. The guy showed up for the biggest job interview of his entire life and displayed a complete disregard for improving what had to be known, personally, as his biggest liability. Can you trust a guy like that to prepare for a playoff game or Super Bowl?

As it stands I wouldn't touch Jones until a minimum of the bottom of the 2nd and maybe even 3rd round.

Most RB's just dive at the guys legs anyway.

I do not know exactly how accurate the lookout list is but the exercise itself is very intriguing to me.

I suspect if the formulae are correct the results will be quite good.

Talib at 22 and Sweed at 28 make sense from a value and needs standpoint but it is far from exciting.
