It would be nice but I don't see Parcells drafting a fb because he doesn't really use a fb in his offense.

He's so much more versatile than your average fullback tho. He's a pretty gifted pass catcher, an above average runner for a FB, and a good blocker. Sounds like a Parcell's type to me. If he's there for us in the 2nd, I'd be tempted to take him, but we have more pressing needs. If he's there in the 3rd, I'd definitely take him. He's one of the enigmas of the draft. During his jr year (going into his senior yr) he seemed like a lock to go somewhere in the 2nd half of the 1st. But since Rice became the focal point of the offense, his production plummeted. It wasn't due to a drop off in skills, but a lack of opportunity.

What do you think of the Cowboys getting a true Fb? Rutgers Brian Leonard a Senior will be drafted. I dont know where in the draft he will be picked, but he looks like he will do great in the pros. Hers is a link to his stats. http://sports-ak.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=135382
4 years in the program and no fumbles lost is impressive.

Nope, I'm thinking TE.

Not gonna happen. Hoyte is the FB of our future.

If we are looking to draft a player for our backfield, we would be better off going HB.

I like Leonard a lot...and if we had a 5 first day picks...I would take Leonard...

however, we can get us a player like RB Chris Henry Arizona instead. He is a big RB...He runs with power. He has nice speed (4.4) and elusiveness. He is a nice receiver out of the backfield. He is a stout blocker in the passing game. He also has little wear and tear...as he didn't play as much as many of the other backs coming out as Arizona used the RB by committee if I am not mistaken.

I really like Leonard but don't think he will be available when we pick in the 3rd. He can block, run and catch. Kinda like a Cooley/Alstott lovechild. We could use a little 'Leonard Leap'.

I am not happy with Hoyte's blocking. Since the season is officially over I have been watching the tapes to break down our problems and his blocking is part of them. Sometimes he takes weird angles when blocking allowing his man to slip past, close the hole, etc. Others he would take the wrong guy forcing the RB to try to make his own hole or follow Hoyte into a 2 yard gain.

With the problems at CB this year, I think they will draft a DB first.

If a guy like Brad Lau is there in the seventh or is available as a UDFA, then yeah. Not too earlier, though/

I like Leonard, there are others I like as well.

I also think Bill would love a well rounded FB who can catch out of the backfield...we used Richie Anderson a great deal when he was here.

However I would imagine it would be something they may consider on the second day instead of the first.

So if you gather up a list of those FBs that are projected to go either on the second day or be undrafted rookies that is probably be where we should look.

I would imagine even if none were drafted they will bring some undrafted rooks in to see what they have, give our FB competition and if for nothing else to give some rests to our starter in camp.

Two words. Justin Blaylock. We really need him. I know. First round is usually high for a guard, but he's the best in the draft and we need one in the worst way. We might be able to trade down and get him while picking up an extra pick. What do you think?

I think it would be stupid and a waste of a draft pick cuz we don't need a FB.
