drafting a FB

If Dallas wants to look late in the draft for FB a guy to watch is Jackie Battle from the university of Houston. Kid is big 6'02" 245 but also has very good speed putting up a 4.42

a 4.42 at that size is very impressive to me...would be interesting to see where he goes and his role. has the potential to eat up LBs out of the backfield with that type of speed

I am as excited to see what Jason does with our O as about what Wade does with our D .......

cannot wait till the draft

I thought JD Runnels out of Oklahoma was going to be a good FB, but it looks like Chicago isn't using him at all.

The kid had a nasty (in a good way) attitude and could catch and run a bit as well.

This thread makes me feel so alive.

i'm glad to see things turning back to the FB and the value they bring in a straight ahead game. as always, things go in cycles. the FB hasn't been "sexy" in a long long time and over the years, the game has pulled away from it because people copy what's working. doesn't matter if a totally opposite plan executed as well would work also, it seems easier to steal success than to create your own.

maybe it is.

but as we've seen, the OL can only do so much. esp. if they suck. the FB presents some options that we just don't see much anymore - unless it's another team throwing to their never before utilized till that team played the cowboys and we went to our graves leaving the flat open every time.

then the FB because an all start just because of us.

i hope we do return to that style of football. that's one reason i loved garrett coming back because that's how he was "born and raised" and if anyone can get value / production out of that position again, it's jason.

if he does, watch the rest of the league follow along.
