Draftmas. as said by Catch17

Just sticking to our board and not reaching!!!

We did amazing last year and I hope we can emulate our success

Desmond King. He's the prettiest, fluffiest, cuddliest, pet cat I ever did have.
I love the way he plays.

He is one of those players where you feel certain he'll succeed despite less than favorable measurable(s).

I would like DE/DT McDowell at #28. His reported personality issues are a concern, but he would be fun to watch.

I think they watch to see if a guy drops like McDowell, Barnett, or Humphrey. They grab that guy or trade down if none of them fall.

I wouldn't doubt Adoree Jackson thought and Takk McKinley and WR John Ross are wildcards because of their medicals obviously.

Me too.

I think back to the success Jason Hatcher had when Dallas first installed this defense and never understood why we haven't kept looking for guys with a similar physical profile in the interior. Tailor made for this D. As much as I like Bowser and Watt, if they can't play RDE, they can't play anywhere in the defense. Same with Harris and Lawson and Rivers. McDowell provides options all over the line.

If McDowell really has a front runner personality, well good news for us. Dallas is going to be out front for the foreseeable future. I like our chances to get the most from him.

The problem is what he does when adversity hits and it will hit.

Right, wrong, or indifferent: players follow the biggest players with the most talent 9 times out of 10. If he quits when the going gets tough and the team follows him then you have a nightmare.

But McDowell could also be the Dez Bryant of the DL, a guy with elite talent that has a lot of bumps along the way but really just needs time to grow up.

Dez doesn't quit. He gets mad and rants. I'll take mad over surrender every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

I would need to know why he quit on MSU for a full evaluation but I am about as skeptical as possible.

Agree and I have no idea what the real story is. But maturity can cure a lot of ills and the "Top 5 Talent who dropped because he is a headcase" is exactly what they said about Dez Bryant.

Also scouting and coaching interactions can vary by a huge degree, I'm sure you remember the stories that Jason Witten was considered mentally soft coming out of U of TN and it impacted his draft position.

Charles Harris but I don't think it's gonna happen. :(

Dez disappears when DBs get into his head or when he gets distracted for other reasons.

Hopefully McDowell is not a Dez type mental midget.

Still grandstanding on his 2015 performance when he came back with a bum foot I see.

That is besides the point. He doesn't quit leading his teammates to quit which is what we are discussing here. Thanks for sharing your off topic agenda thoughts though.

You were discussing bad examples to teammates.

You still suck at restating my arguments. I was talking about teammates who are seen as leaders quitting.

Dez struggling when he came back early from a broken foot and you making up stories about the cause that fit your bias has nothing to do with McDowell quitting on his team.

I get that you have a hard on for trying to win an argument against me which is hilarious considering you run into nonsense from ones you think you are losing but at least try to stay on topic.
