1 - Fulton, CB, LSU
2 - Davis, DT, Bama
3 - Davis, S, Cal
4 - Kmet, TE, ND
5 - Wonnum, DE, SC
7 - Walker, WR, San Jose St

It's not too bad. They had Kinlaw on the board at 17 and we took Fulton instead. They had the TE from Missouri on the board at 2.

I like Davis. Don't know much about Walker, the kid from San Jose State. Kmet might be a steal in the 4th.

Meat and potatoes draft. Kmet would be a good pick there.

Probably not realistic. Last I heard, Brugler has Kmet as TE#1, so he won't be there in the 4th. Another draft guy I follow on twitter swears by Davis as well, but I'm not in on him at the moment.

Kiper had Kmet as #6. So I think a lot of guys are just sifting through the early entrants, etc.

Kmet might be the most complete TE in the draft but still be like the 4th one drafted b/c he just isn't very athletic.

Kmet is Jason Witten 2.0 in my eyes. Not very athletic, but gets open. Solid blocker too. Might have to get him earlier than the 4th round if you want him but it’s a pretty good TE class so you never know if it might stretch.

I’d like to see what Fulton’s measurables in terms of height and arm length.

I don’t 100% subscribe to Kris Richards’ DB template, but I’m wary of 5’-11” or smaller corners as starters.

For craps and giggles, I re-did the draft based on the order they were picked by Drafttek and who was on the board at the time we made our pick:

1 - Kinlaw, DT, SC
2 - Okwuegbunam, TE, Missouri
3 - Jones, S, Texas
4 - Arnette, CB, OSU
5 - Hill, CB, Michigan
7 - Claypool, ND, WR

Heavy on CBs as I think we might let Jones walk and Awuzie really is a question mark. Nolan wants guy that can create turnovers so it might be time to start remaking the secondary. As a ND guy, there is probably zero chance Claypool is there in the 7th (or Kmet being there in the 4th).

Or this one............

1 - Delpit, S, LSU
2 - Okwara, DE, ND
3 - Murchison, DT, NCSU
4 - Jackson, CB, Nebraska
5 - Pinkney, TE, Vandy
7 - Davis, DT, Nebraska

Nolan wants to be aggressive and with some DE questions with Quinn and Bennett being FAs, Okwara gives them speed off the edge. Murchison and Davis give them two young large DTs to play with. Not sure I am as big a fan of this one as the other two mocks, however.

I fully endorse this draft. Address the two biggest needs on the team with two guys who should start right away. In.

Love both of these too! Good work!

Wow, you think Claypool drops to the 7th? I imagine him to be a 3rd-4th rounder, possibly a 2nd rounder with a good combine.

I said in the post you quoted there is probably zero chance he's there in the 7th round.

I just redid the draft based on how the Drafttek mocked their 7 rounds. At each pick, I looked at players still on their board at our pick and made a different selection than they did. Drafttek's mock had Claypool going after our 7th round pick.

Ah gotcha.

I HAVE no idea what to expect from a MM draft...Ted Thompson was the guy selecting the players for him in GB. He had very little input..thats my understanding. SO with that said, look for him to pick best avail player and to stockpile future draft picks. lots OF trades up and back will happen. SHOULD BE FUN.

This would be a home run IMO...just don't think it's very realistic.
