What do you guys think about dreadlocks on pro football players? Personally I think they look pretty sweet, especially on bad*** players like Steven Jackson and throwback Ricky Williams.

I think it's none of my business how they keep their hair.

With or without shiny beads?

If I was on the opposite side of the ball responsible for tackles.........."Oh look. A handle." ;)

I think they give Marion Barber his strength. When he does that weird tie back hairspray thing he doesn't have much of a good game. Let them flow and he's bad ***.

If he cuts them off, he'll lose all of his strength. Like Sampson. Book it.

Depends on the guy. On knuckleheads like Pacman Jones is pisses me off royally, but on a class act like Barber he can do what he wants.

I also think Chris Johnson looks incredibly stupid because his dreads are receding :lmao:

I personally think they should make an assortment of dreadlock wigs for people like me that get wild hairs every once in awhile and want to cover the dome with something fresh & fun. :p:

I'm not sure there's any debate about them on NFL players though. Are you attempting to start one? :laugh2: I'm going to go with no one cares for $500 Alex.

I love them. They look great on Mike Jenkins!!

I saw a picture of Marion Barber with his down over his face on the sidelines and he looked like a warrior! :)

Steven Jackson is a beast, if he was on good teams all these years he would be destroying records.

The only debate on dreads is why the hell dreads aren't on players NCAA Football 11 like Adrian Clayborn.

Because yes, I love them. Clayborn looks like a beast with them.

Aside from looking, aesthetically low-rent and possibly sticky-hair dirty, it can be a health hazard. Everytime someone with dreads gets chased, what are the odds someone might pull hard on those girly dreadlocks and bring someone down -- hard?

Imagine the trauma to the neck and head. Yeow!

This wont be an issue in the NFL until someone injures a neck because of the the dreads. Fans dont care to see those ugly looking dreads, only how well a player executes and performs. Save the dreads for the dance party and barbecue.

Those of us who are hair follicle challenged think they look great on anyone.

Those aren't really dreads. Those are the sort of "dreads" you get from a hairstylist. It is a long braid really.
