Dreadlocks Debate

I personally don't care for them. I don't think they look good or bad, but I do think they're generally a bad idea. We all saw Polamalu taken down by the 'do after an INT, and there's no rule against that. I also think MBIII's hair has something to do with how often his helmet flies off, although he seems to have gotten that more under control in the last season or 2.

I'd feel the same way if long fingernails or toenails became fashionable. Everybody has the right to do whatever they want with their tissues. But that doesn't make it smart.

I think it looks cool but I am also dying for someone to get dragged down by them.

I think Larry Johnson snagged Polamalu's mane a while back on an INT return but not sure.

Debate? Wasn't aware of one.

I love them, but I'm biased, since I have dreads, for the second time in 16 years.

In all honestly though, dreads are ****ing nasty.

At least when they are just starting out.

I knew a guy who started with dreads and he had to rub honey, toothpaste and all sorts of **** in his hair. No bathing.

Dreads are definitely cool looking but it has to suck to not be able to wash your hair for a bit.

Sounds like he really didn't know what he was doing.

I know several men and a couple of females with dreads and they've never had to do any of that to get them locked.

I know exactly what you mean. I had a grungy looking guy in my English class back in high school who was attempting to grow dreads. That dude's head stunk like ***. I dreaded : having to sit behind him every day.

That guy was a nut. And I've always regularly washed mine, even when starting out.

Nut part two. Has nothing to do with dreads, just a guy allergic to soap. :laugh2:

So what's the secret. If it wasn't as dirty as I have seen it, I might look into it.
