C'mon Mike, you gotta give Bledsoe more credit then that.

The Giants offensive lineman may as well have been wearing Cowboy uniforms because they were in the backfield so much.

I think if you protect Bledsoe, then we win this game.

If you have the game tape. Watch how when we did protect Bledsoe he had very little options to throw too because we were only sending 2 wideouts on routes to max protect.

He isnt fumbling like he normally would and he isnt throwing a ton of interceptions.

I really believe if you protect this guy, he completely exploits the Giants weak secondary.

Mick, You're right. I am being too hard on the guy. But I quite frankly don't know if you can protect him enough-- on a consistent basis-- to allow this team to be a strong Super Bowl contender. And if that's the case... maybe we need to start looking for someone that can take us there.

True

But I think when you lose your Pro Bowl Tackle that has a trickle down effect on everyone else.

I really think this offense just needs to be tweaked just a little bit

Do some shotgun, rolling the pocket, have Keyshawn and Witten get some crack blocks on Ends when going out on route instead of always blocking.

Parcells must demand that Tucker fly alone so we dont have 2 Tackles we have to protect.

Drew isnt fumbling and is still not throwing a ton of interceptions.

You know I hated when we signed the guy. But I still think he turns this Giant's secondary into chunky soup if we would just be a little bit more creative.

I am going to go watch the game tape again and see how many times we did a draw play out of the shotgun. I know the first time we did, Julius got 9 yards.

And for gosh sake, why doesnt this offense every motion? The defense never ever has to change up it's play calling because once they know what formation we come out in, they know what to expect because of film study.

Do some motion to get Keyshawn on a linebacker, and/or to confuse the defensive captain, and/or set up some crack blocks on rush happy Ends. This is all basic strategy in football. Also, motion can be used to figure out what the defense is going to call ie man, zone, who blitzing who is not.

congrats today - a good day

Gurode might want to keep the tackle off Bledsoe before the hand off. Our Oline was pathetic. We can't and have not run the ball all year. In your Glee on our loss - to put this all on Bledsoe is lame - bt par for the course.

Bledsoe deserve some of it sure -

Bledsoe looked like Aikman playing in the rain today. How about that scramble for 4 yards with 50 seconds left on the clock and a wide open Witten standing by the first down marker waving his arms. Gurode is garbage.

Maybe out of those next 50 posts you put up you can throw out some predictions too. ;)

This is a "discussion board". And a key part of a discussion board is encouraging discussion. If we all "agreed" on here quite frankly it would be a real dead place.

Nors and I have this little routine going... he says one thing and I have to say the other. Not out of dislike for Nors.. actually I enjoy Nors participation on this board. I give Nors credit for throwing out predictions. Some folks have the stones to do that and others have the stones to criticize... whatever.

I felt Bledsoe would have about 3,200 yards with a 20 TD's and 14 picks. I'm not wavering from that.

I thought the team would be 9-7 to 8-8 and on the cusp of the playoff picture. I'm not wavering from that either. ;)

Try throwing out a prediction or two or God forbid take an unpopular stance... you'll feel much better in the morning. :)

These stats and predictions you state in this post are nothing like I remember this summer. I can't go back very far to prove it but your daily assassination of Bledsoe before he threw one pass here suggested he would out and out suck and the team would go nowhere. I believe the numbers you include here were stated a few games AFTER the season started and Bledsoe started like a house afire.

Regarding having the "stones" to predict things I predicted 2 posts ago that we would be in the playoffs. Very unpopular belief around here today.

I've "criticized" plenty (you and the O line today for instance) so I must have sizable stones based on your assessment.

And regarding my only having 50 posts? Sorry, I speak when there's something to say. I'm not here to run up my post numbers. I do enjoy reading the quality posts of others though.

And one more prediction, Bledsoe and this team will bring alot of excitement to Cowboys fans before this year is over. It will be a tormenting experience for you and other Bledsoe bashers but perhaps you'll come around.

Nors, is there some secret meaning to this?

- Mike G.
Just that he is the ultimate chest thumping hypocrite of all time.

If he dislikes a player he'll make up stuff to criticize.

If he likes a player don't you dare bring up actual facts.

MW lives near Buffalo and saw a lot of Bledsoe over the last few years. Nors lives near Boston and saw a lot of Bledsoe before when he was in new England. They disagree with each other on his impact.

Since MW's observations are proving somewhat relevant he is in pout mode.

Eli Manning got a LOT more time in the pocket today than Bledsoe did. We had the better qurterback today, but our OL could not protect him.

What the !*?!$?#!$!?

Mikey doesn't go in for character assassination, or any other kind.

Doesn't change his tune with the breeze, either. He has the courage of his convictions and his opinions, and in this case it has been that Bledsoe is an upgrade over every QB here since Troy Aikman, but that even Bill Parcells would not cure his game of its inherent flaws enough to make this particular team, this year, playoff worthy.

Mike has also never denied the oline woes are the chief worry. He just points out that a more athletic QB could buy more time when the pressure comes, and that we lack that release valve with Bledsoe.

Like everyone else here, he is gonna tweak the posters he banters with when a performance proves him right.

But he's the ultimate Boys fan, usually RIGHT, and always on the up and up.

Mike never saw the 2005 Boys as a serious playoff contender - he said all along he felt we were primed for 06.

And the events of today hardly prove him mistaken.

My God......it has taken me almost an hour to get from page 1 to page 9 of this thread. I am tired beyond belief...........based on this I have to agree with everybody who posted on this thread:

1) The O-Line sucked!

2) Drew Bledsoe sucked!!! (he deserves the extra exclamation points)

3) Parcells and the entire offensive coaching staff suck!

4)Zimmer was great! (Had to get that in)

5)We definitely need a franchise QB (don't care where he comes from)

6)We all still love our Cowboys!

7)I didn't see JJ on the sidelines today (probably getting Strahan's autograph)

8)And lastly.....did I mention our OL really sucks :D :(

Nors I was and am all Bledsoe. but the last few weeks even with time he throws like I hit a golf ball. About a half an inch from the ground.
If teams get to him early hes done, that simple.
