2 years, $50 million.

man did we get screwed.

How did we get screwed? Brees is in his 40s and has been making big paychecks for the past 19 years he can afford to take a team friendly deal. He had to decide whether he even wanted to play this season. He’ll only play one or two more seasons.

Drew Brees is 41 and coming off a season in which he missed 5 games with injury.
His 2 year deal if just really a 1 year deal with padding for cap hits.

He was always going to count 5.4M on the cap so that means his cap hit in 2020 will eat that plus yearly rate and half of any bonus....

His cap hit in 2020 plus dead money in 2021 almost certainly cost more than you count against the cap for Dak for the 2020 season.

I mean he’s gotten paid already .. he did this so he could win another ring
And? Dak's getting paid a ton outside his Cowboys contract. What does "he's already gotten paid" have to do with anything?

Did he warn 240 million through out his career? Bree’s took less because he wasn’t gonna get top dollar because he’s old and he wants one more shot

Brees was never going to play for a team other than the Saints. Which means his value would be lower anyway.

26-year-old quarterbacks are just reaching their primes.
41-year-old quarterbacks are quickly declining.

Dak was living in a home that was worth less than a million dollars until recently. (5 minutes from The Star).
His earnings off the field have been lucrative but they aren't generational wealth.

Drew Brees has an estimated net worth of 120M.
Dak 2M.

That very much matters lol.
One guy can retire at anytime and live a life of luxury and wealth.
The other can most definitely not. YET.

When Dak is 40 you can feel free to ask him to take a team discount.
