Is Drew Brees going to be inducted into the HOF? If not, what does he need to do to insure a spot in Canton?

There are three guaranteed Hall of Famers' playing today at QB - P. Manning, Brady and Brees.

Rodgers may get there, even Ben(5-6 more years to play) has a decent chance. One more great playoff run should be enough and stay healthy while playing until 2017 or so.

Eli is another story. He should not be close to the HOF, but one more ring might just get him there :(

If Romo continues to build stats and gets at least a ring, probably will need two, he has a chance as well. Try not to laugh or ridicule me, I said if :)

I disagree, sort of. I feel like Eli Manning has it locked up because has two SBs. Doing it twice is worlds different than doing it once, Big Ben is in the same boat. I think Drew Brees has got it, but we are in an era were a case could be made for 6-7 HOF QBs, not likely all of them make it.

Brees is in. Has the stats and the ring. And could possibly get another in the next 3 years or so.

Eli is nowhere near right now. 2 rings or not. He'd need a few more to compensate that most seasons, he sucks. He's never put consistent seasons together.

And yes, Big Ben has 2 rings in 3 appearances and is a Steeler and we know they get the benefit of the doubt. Although I don't think he is one.

If Romo never makes any type of playoff run, he won't be in, nor should he.

Brees is a lock. I also think Eli is and he can only hurt his chances from here on out. Rodgers might be in that same boat, he seem poised for a great run and now has crashed and burned a few years in a row. Ben will probably have to wait a few years due to the incidents. Romo doesn't deserve it.

rings dont matter in HOF...its why charles haley doesnt get in but dan marino is.

that being said, i think it means all the above are HOF contenders save maybe eli.

the REAL question is....how are the stats going to be judged....if you have more that we consider HOF worthy, does that mean that the HOF criteria line moves up and some of them drop below it? hmmm

He's in for sure. Super Bowl MVP plus the records - he has 3 of the Top-5 Passing Yards in a Season and is already Top-5 all-time in Career Passing Yards and Passing TDs.

Yes.

He's had historical stats like Marino, yet he also has a ring.
He's not done either.

As for Eli? I don't think he is remotely worthy.

Currently 5th in yards (will move into 4th), 4th in TDs (likely be 3rd in the end), and 2nd in completion percentage (may tie or pass for 1st). Superbowl ring.

Absolutely. If he isn't a 1st ballot hall of fame player then I'm not sure there is such a thing.
