Need to see more. Just hasn't wowed me in the games I've watched him.

Some of the scouting gurus I talk to really like the Auburn kid as well.

Lock is the only one who has really popped for me (so far).

Regardless, I want Ed Oliver and nothing else.

Stidham would be Dak part 2. Herbert can make all the throws and is mobile. Big kid, great arm and character.

Ed Oliver would be amazing, but he's not gonna put this team over the hump like a true signal caller would IMO.

We played a top defense guys. Give it time. While the offense looked out of synch and confused at times, lets give Carolina D some credit. Lots of growing pains on offense to come. Dak is part of that. This may be too much for JG to overcome. If we miss the playoffs and the fashion in which we lose games is bad, he will be fired. Even Stephen and Jerry have their limits. If the losing continues and we are say, 0-4...I can envision a mid year HC change.

It's one thing to struggle against a top defense, it's another to look inept. We just don't have the QB to beat great defenses, and it was shown last year as well.

Prescott will go on to be a backup somewhere. He doesn't have a place starting in this league.

Stidham is a hard guy to evaluate based on the offense that he plays in. Not sure how advanced he is in terms of making his way through progressions, and throwing routes in the middle of the field. He has physical talent, but I don't think he's plug and play.

Lock has some accuracy issues that need to be sussed out. Sub 60% completion percentage doesn't add up to success in the NFL.

And, I agree on Oliver. After yesterday, if the Cowboys play that badly on offense throughout the season, they could have a shot at getting him without a trade.

Imagine having a QB with actual arm strength

I think we will have to trade Prescott to get the draft capital to move up for a franchise QB. I dont see us much worse than 8-8. But I think no playoffs gets Garrett fired and the new coach will probably want his own QB.

As far as what we can get for Prescott. Tyrod Taylor went to the Browns for a 3rd. I think we could get an little more for Prescott considering that he is younger. I could see Prescott basically being a younger version of Tyrod Taylor. Luckily for us if we do move on from Prescott, that has some value.

If we go 8-8 and lets say we pick 14, we will likely have to give up our own first, a 2020 first and likely a day 2 pick to move into range for a franchise QB. Being able to get a day 2 for Prescott helps absorb some of that

Oliver is disgusting but if Dak is what he’s trending to be, we will have to go QB early.

Lock’s last two seasons were completion percentages of 55 and 57 percent.

That blows, much like Connor Cook. Guys don’t get more accurate in the pros. He’s at 75% right now through 2 games in 2018 so it will be interesting where this season goes.

But I get nervous as **** when you see a QB who has a sub 60% completion percentage in college.

Thats fair, but you also have to take into consideration drop % of the team. IDK what the drop rate is for Mizzou, but a QB can be accurate and still have a sub 60% rate based on drops alone.

Although I'm taking Herbert and Grier over lock personally

This is not the draft class to reach on a QB. If wrong, it sets the franchise back another 5 years.

It's still early so a QB or 2 may step up but I think this is a really weak QB class. I'm also intrigued by Brian Lewerke but that may be because a)he plays at Michigan State and b)I've been watching him since he was a sophomore at Pinnacle High School nearby in Phoenix.

Now 2020 will have Jake Fromm (Georgia) and Jacob Eason (sitting out at Washington, formerly at Georgia). I'm down for either one of those guys.

What do you think about Justin Herbert?

He's got the requisite size/talent/athletic ability. I'd like to see him stay healthy for a season, which has limited the amount of starts that he has had so far (I agree with Parcells that, optimally, a guy coming out has 30 starts under his belt before going pro - Herbert is at 15 coming into this season). I don't think he's pro ready at this time, but it's not due to a lack of talent. I wouldn't have a problem with drafting him, but I think it will take some time for Herbert to be ready to go.

Don't like this years QB draft call.

Don't think Lock emerges as an elite guy.

This reminds me of the Young/Leinart/Cutler/Clemmons year. Cutler was clearly the best pro, and even he isn't an upgrade to Prescott.

QB is a no-go for next year.
