I remember as a kid in 1973 this skinny college QB, who played QB at the same HS as Joe Theisman, making the team as a free agent WR, 6'0", 175 lbs. He was coming off the bench due to many WR injuries on the team, and he played like a veteran, making many clutch catches.

He "arrived" as a new superstar in the playoffs. The Cowboys were holding onto a thin lead. The Rams defense was suffocating the Boys' offense so well that the outcome was a tossup. The Cowboys had terrible field position all day long. One mishap, and the Rams would overtake them.
Until -- Roger hooked up with Drew on this memorable play deep in Cowboys' territory. A wow moment in Cowboys' history.

A serious car accident in 1984 injuring his liver caused him to prematurely retire.

Congrats for Hall of Fame announcement to a great Cowboy, a Cowboy of class, a Cowboy of greatness in clutch situations, Dallas Drew, the original Playmaker.
