His speach did not come across like it was from the heart at all, if sounded like he was reading something that he felt he had to read... I dont know, maybe its me, but it bugged me how he went about his speach especially when he got choked up for 3 seconds (totally looked put on)...

Anyone else agree???

I was impressed with Arrington's speach however... From the heart, I believe it may have changed him as a person.

:hammer: I was just thinking the same thing.

Yep, still a clown. Tears one second, but totally composed the next. And what's with the shouting? He's as hyper as Kiper on draft day.

Nice effort by Arrington. You could tell it was totally heartfelt.

Everybody handles occasions like this differently, I woulnd't judge anyone on a day like this.

Most people try really hard to keep their composure when dealing with a death, and sometimes they come across as robotic or aloof, which is not what is really going on inside.

Unless you have spoken at a funeral, you should just shut up. That is one of the hardest things that anyone can do. To criticize someone's eulogy is pretty lame.

To be asked to speak is an honor, whether you're close to the person or not. For those that are close to the deceased, I really don't know how they do it. I get choked and teared up at funerals where I casually knew them. I spoke at my wifes grandmother's funeral and was really nervous about making mistakes knowng how many people loved her and I was chosen to speak. Tough job indeed.

I have not given a speach at a funeral. I could not imagine how hard it is. I don't even know if I could do it for someone I didnt know well, let alone someone I was close with. I would have broke down very bad at this funeral and I didn't know Sean a bit. But we all handle this differently.

The fact that Rosenhaus did it with what looked and sounded like relative ease is what I thought was weird. His speach really did sound just like a press conference (To me) and I'm sure to some others. If this is how Rosenhaus handles it, so be it.

I didn't like Rosenhaus before and no matter how he handled his speach, it wouldnt change my opinion of him.

I didn't mean to criticize him, the fact he was up there says alot.

I can't bring myself to criticize Drew Rosenhaus or any person who is speaking at the funeral. This is a difficult time for friends and family of Taylor and to take a swipe at Rosenhaus for his comments are pretty low. We each handle tragedy differently

Everyone has a different personality, and love, sadness, grief, joy are all expressed through each person differently. When you let people be who they are, and listen to the content of their experience, rather than focusing on the form (personality), you begin to recognize we're all the same, and it's really quite beautiful and meaningful.

What a sleaze.

If you are going to pretend to cry in public take some acting lessons first.

Yeah it is pretty hard. I did for my father, one minute I was fine, next not, but then was for the rest.

Well there was a lot of pretending on this site last week, we just couldn't see the face as the fingers typed.
