however when Dez/Romo/Murray lined up in their prime they were dang close to Aikman/Irvin/Emmitt add Witten/Novacheck... no im not drinking , Dez was in his prime until Romo Left his numbers drastically dropped with Witts e ct etc we know the story..no need to argue the point now but Amari cannot be Irvin with Dak leading this offense...hes not that type of pocket QB looking Downfield and going for those shots multiple times game.. Dak misses so many wide open deep chunk plays so often , no WR has shot at gaudy numbers..he misses open guys in the Endzone..I like dak but this cant be those years with him leading.. Amari/Dez has/had Irvin Talent but doesnt have 14 HOF players and a HOF Coach leading this team..this is the issue, maybe Dak grows more the next 18 months we shall see but we will never have a triplet with the QB who is a bus driver..

I mean, you can’t take Jerry 100% literally on this. Of course. He is trying to sell things.

That being said, Zeke and Cooper are a legitimate tandem of skill players.

I wouldn’t ever want to try and put players on the same pedestal as Irvin and Emmitt.

But, Cooper and Zeke are both all pro talented players. Zeke has already proven that. Cooper has the physical talent to also be a dominant player (although different style receiver than Irvin).

So it’s not that huge of a stretch.

I would be a little more aghast if he were trying to sell me Geoff Swaim as the next Witten. Or if he mentioned Dak as the Aikman in a new set of triplets.

But make no mistake. Cooper and Zeke are both extremely talented NFL players.

Yes, Jerry The Business Man( OFF THE FIELD) has been brilliant. It is why the Dallas Cowboys are the #1 Sports Franchise according to Forbes. But that is also why Jerry, The GM( ON THE FIELD), has been lost in the woods
producing wins. But as long as Jerry is filling his pockets, wins take a back seat and has been for 23 years and will continue.
Maybe an accident or 2 some season might produce a 12-4+ season, but ego always gets in the way

We should use Zeke like Emmitt and we should use Cooper like Irvin. JJ gets that its Linehan that doesn't get it at times. Not sure why anyone would complain about what JJ said

Jones comparing the two sets of players from different eras is not a sign of senility.

Jones is a salesman though. And he will say anything imaginable or beyond imaginable to sell any product he hawks. Actually, he fits the definition of an ultra-salesperson.

That is not a direct comparison of Zeke to Emmitt or Cooper to Irvin.

The comparison is to the concept where Emmitt complimented Irvin and vise-versa. If Irvin got single coverage, he would have a big game. If Irvin got double coverage, then there were just 7 defenders in the box to attempt to stop Emmitt.

Zeke said he is see 1 less defender in the box since Cooper arrived.
