Darby has some issues. I've watched complete games where he never played from a back peddle. He turns his hips from his 1st step. I can say for certain if it is just a technique issue or if he has physical issues turning his hips. Either way it is a significant problem. When WRs would cut to the opposite side of his hip turn it would leave him spinning around like a corkscrew while they continued running down field wide open.

Darby is very much like Jones in the sense raw but primo athletic talents. Darby wasn't great fundamentally but was able to get away with that at FSU given his athleticism.

But in the pros, you can't get away with that stuff.
