Keenan Mace

The former Lindenwood defensive tackle ended up playing for the Allen Wranglers of the Indoor Football League. After the lockout ended, Mace signed with the Dallas Cowboys. However, his contract was not approved by the NFL because he still had eligibility remaining and had to go through the draft process. Because he had played in the IFL, Mace was no longer eligible to play college football, so he declared for the supplemental draft. He is a big man (6-4, 315) with surprising foot quickness and agility. He can be a force at the point of attack. Mace has shown the strength to jolt and drive pass blockers into quarterback’s lap on bull rushes. He also displays good speed chasing ball carriers and makes hard, violent hits. Rumors around the league are that he will sign with the Cowboys as a free agent if he goes undrafted. Mace has the talent to develop into a starter down the road as either a defensive end in a 3-4 scheme or a defensive tackle in a 4-3.

Yeah, I was bummed that we didn't get him. I thought he was the most interesting name on our UDFA list.

They didn't do this young man any favors by making him go through the supplemental draft. He could have been in a training camp the last three weeks.

If Dallas wants him, they are going to have to use a 5th to get him

He actually practiced so the nfl must have originally ok'd his signing and eligibility from the draft in April. They later changed their minds, probably due to other teams complaining.

Well we got a pretty good look at him so we should know if he is worth a pick. If we sign him it is the end of Igor for sure.

Maybe Goodell wants him to be an Eagle.

Anybody seen him play. Why did he end up at Lindenwood?

Right on the :money:

Mace didn't get picked in the supplemental draft...he looks to be all ours.

I wonder if the league will approve the previous contract we offered him or does Jerry have to draw another one up.

I suppose now we can try and bring him in for a look and see what he can do. Although he got screwed out of half of the training camp and preseason games.

Did he end up signing with anyone?

I wonder if we try to put him on the PS?
