STRENGTHS
Powerfully built with a good base. Good playing strength to dig cleats in the dirt and anchor vs. the run. Stout enough to handle the double team. Proven two-gap ability. Flashes shock in his hands and sheds quickly. Plays with urgency and is very active in pursuit. Has been very durable and adjusted well to expectations upon his arrival from community college.

WEAKNESSES
Lacks ideal height and length. Is not an explosive pass rusher. Unrefined pass-rush arsenal. Only produced 3.5 sacks the last two years as a starter. Average closing speed and short-area burst. Has stiffness in his body. Could become more consistent feeling blocking pressure.

BOTTOM LINE
Possesses the point-of-attack strength and football temperament to be a factor defending the run in a rotational role.

Good pick for talent and for need, definitely a guy that can take some reps and not just be a practice squad guy.

STRENGTHS: Wide-bodied with a thick trunk and natural girth…can anchor and hold the point with his lower body base…takes on multiple blockers to create lanes for his defensive teammates at the LOS…quick, coordinated footwork with adequate quickness and reaction timing off the snap…has some range to work up and down the LOS…violent, active hands to fight through blocks and handle double-teams – aggressively shoots his hands and looks to bully…strong hands and wrists to secure tackles and make stops with his fingers – productive the past two seasons with 125 total tackles…consistent competitive temperament and plays with a can-do attitude – motivated with a good head on his shoulders.

WEAKNESSES: Shorter than ideal with tight hips and joints, not always playing with the flexibility needed…lacks ideal arm length and will allow blockers to engage off the snap and turn and twist him…only average play speed and foot agility, lacking much experience dropping in space…needs to improve his anticipation and instincts pre and post snap – eye use tends to run hot/cold and can be late to locate…below average pass rush arsenal with minimal sack production on his resume…will wear himself out due to his motor and is forced to take some plays off…lacks ideal experience against top-level competition, sending two seasons at the JUCO level and then two seasons in the MAC…minor durability concerns after missing much of pre-draft workouts due to a foot injury.

No complaints about the 7th rounders. Good value. Solid players who can contribute.

That's more than anyone can ask of these guys. Send the DL in waves.

No, its someone finding an excuse. Or a weird way of saying his could use some monitoring of his conditioning.

If his motor is a problem.. I'll take that problem all day because we will get him in condition and make him even stronger... Yes indeedy, I'll take that!

Granted it is a highlight reel, seeing any DT bowl over Olineman is definitely someone who has the measureables to play football.

Watched some of his games, guy has some push and up field pass rush! Like the pick!

I just found out that he's a cousin of my next door neighbors growing up....nice!
