Oakland game was a prime example that we don’t have what we need at DT. That big OL was beaten repeatedly on the corners, but they dominated our DTs and allowed no penetration or push.
1 tackle Jones, 1 Collins, 1 Ash. Carr repeatedly saw the OTs beaten and was able to step up deep into the pocket due to no push. Credit the Oak interior line, but we need more in the middle.

..yup, have to agree. It was bad last night. I was even surprised from lack of pressure. DLaw was only one making Carr step out of pocket. Having Irving back will help.

Missed Irving last nite for sure.

Oakland has a very good line and Irving would have made a difference. Having said that, we need another playmaker besides Irving there.

If Collins goes into the off season prepping to the 1tech, he could be very good there. Of course, he may not be all that excited about moving to the 1 permanently.

We are on our 3rd 1 tech and had to play a waiver wire in Jones. Not that our first two were amazing, but Paea(when healthy) and Price were decent.

I don’t blame him. Get a real 1 tech in here and let Collins use his quickness.

They don't need a quick twitch at the 1. They need a massive pocket collapser to collapse the pocket and demand a double team on every single play.
But Rod flat refuses to get one. Another case where Jerry and Red Ball have failed us

Seeing Ash on the field for the first defensive play told me all I needed to know about the DT position the rest of the game.

Definitely a better line with Irving in there. Once he's back, it should return to RDE Crawford, 3-tech Irving, 1-tech Collins, LDE Lawrence ... although I'm starting to feel a little better about the RDE Lawrence, LDE Charlton combo we used quite a bit in this game. Hopefully, Lawrence, Irving, Collins and Charlton will eventually be the starting group. I give Tyrone a lot of credit for his effort at RDE, but his skill-set doesn't really fit the position. He's much better as a rotational interior player.

What's the contract status of Snacks Harrison? The G men might go into full rebuild mode this offseason.
