2018 was long time ago a different staff and almost all new players, and? nothing to do with this year really just the last 3 weeks.
Maybe so, but it does definitely show a pattern of ignoring a glaring need.

My best DT solution is for the Cowboys to save their coins this off season and spend money on DeRon Payne, Javon Hargrove, Ashawn Robinson, or Jaren Reed. Poona Ford as well

Stop wasting time with low impact players hoping they'll outplay the minimum contracts.

Maybe we should start scouting Sumo wrestlers. They are big, fat and knows how to use leverage. :muttley:
There have been Sumo wrestlers that were smaller than Jason Peters...seriously...

Isaac Alarcon. He isn't doing much these days anyway. With him and Ridgeway next to one another we'd be 1,000 times better.
Other teams would just make their RBs inactive for games vs the Cowboys.
- They would know running vs Alarcon/Ridgeway would be impossible.
- The Cowboys could play 9 CBs with Alarcon/Ridgeway playing the 2 DL spots.
- Unfortunately Goodell would ban both of them from the NFL.

The bad thing about being avg or just above average is you don’t draft high enough to get those stud DT’s and even those don’t work out at a high rate

They do, stop ignoring the biggest weakness on this team.

Just had a thought..., if we had a front four built to stop the run, we could play with six DB's as a base. Just use two strong safeties as our linebackers. A couple 6'2" 217 pound safeties should do it.

With that many quick moving players on our defense it would be hard for teams to pass against us. While at the same time it'll be hard for them to run against us, because if our front four and our thumper at MLB.

That was indeed the thought process that Q envisioned.

Sometimes it’s about being able to get a guy
You can’t buy a stud DT very often and when you can it’s very expensive
Drafting them is hard when you pick in the middle of the rounds
You can throw picks at it but that doesn’t mean it works out
