DT Terrell Mcclain cut by Chiefs; Should Cowboys bring him back?

With DT/DE Tyrone Crawford on IR and the Cowboys backup DTs struggling to stop the run up the middle or pressure the QB, should the Cowboys consider bringing DT Terrell McClain back for the remainder of the year?

McClain just got cut by the Chiefs, so he is a free agent.

I would think anybody not good enough for the 28th ranked defense would fit in well here

McClain's best season was with us, but that was 2016. I'm not sure he's much of a help. With Woods and Covington, we've got a couple of run defenders who can't rush. We need more DTs who can pass rush, or do both.

Really, we need a 3T who can do both, and that's likely hard to come by.

Hill being inactive is an objectively good thing for the defense.

Well, his very best season was his last year here and that was only 21 tackles and 2.5 sacks. And that was years ago. While I would love to get another DT in here, I don't think he helps us at this point even as depth.
