..in the goodwill store. it was a big tatted up Mexican dude, he is on his phone, I'm about twenty feet from him and his eyes meet mine and he and i lock on, i get closer he is still staring at me wide eyed, i go to pass him and say excuse me as he is blocking me, the isle is narrow but he has room I'm not very big. he doesn't move and i squeeze past but i see in my peripheral that he turns his head to follow me and closes his phone so i turn my head look at him stop and ask whats up?(not in a whats your problem way, in a can i help you? sorta way) he says was up? now he is bouncing from toe to toe kinda antsy and puffs his chest out. i say nothin I'm just wondering why your staring at me, do we know each other? he says naw, I'm wondering why your lookin at me. now he is repeatedly biting his bottom lip. i say i guess there is no problem then and turn to walk away but he takes a step toward me and says i think there is a problem you looking at me like you got a problem.
so at this point I'm checking out my surroundings seeing where i can go what i can use what he can use then i see it, a crinkle in the front of his baggy shirt that shouldn't be there.
so I'm not stupid i say hey man I'm not looking for trouble I'm just here looking for furniture. he stares at me. his girlfriend says his name sorta urgent like but pleading at the same time and tells him to come on. he tells me aight then you go look at your furniture then and gestures me to go(as if he was giving me permission and thats not what i was going to do anyway) i normally would have had a smart response but i decided the situation was defused why push it.
he eyeballs me walking away till he turns his head. i really hate people like this, it is very highschoolish to me to act this way. its the whole biggest dog in the yard mentality, if you are the biggest then you know you are and you should be secure in that, i guess something about me made him insecure or he is just very insecure to begin with.
all of this happens in probably less time than it took to read this.
