What happened to this guy?

He was apparently a "can't miss OG" last year and was selected in the 6th round last year by the Panthers.

Was he even active?

I wonder if we could pry him away from Carolina

Just curious because he had a first round grade for awhile before the draft.

I don't think he was ever can't miss, but yeah I remember some people being excited we'd have a chance at him in the 2nd after his stock dropped out of the first. Obviously a lot of teams saw something they didn't like about him.

Interestingly, I don't remember there actually being much word pre-draft about his stock dropping.

There were a LOT of pre-draft signs & reports that Robinson was lazy, not dedicated enough to becoming the best he could be. Lots of talent, but terrible attitude.

It's so true, and it's freaking annoying. Size doesnt simply make you a great guard.

He is known as a good character guy with a high motor. His teammates had trashed a bus and the coach began to clean it up. Iupati told the coach to sit down that he had it and he cleaned up the bus. Thats the kind of character we need in this team. Leaders like him make a big difference.

I do recall there being some hype on Robinson at about this time last season. But I think it started fading as it got closer to the draft...and by draft day it was mostly only OU homers still touting him. He still was getting 2-3rd round grades by some though....he went in the 5th.

I was thinking he got hurt in Carolina's traing camp and was out for the season, but I'm not sure.

Something contradictory about "can't miss OG" and "selected in the 6th round". Apparently nobody thought he was a can't miss anything.

You're right but I doubt seriously NFL teams are going to throw out his entire body of work like is being done here at the zone because of a All Star game.

I don't know how good he is or isn't because I don't catch many Idaho games but he does look like a good prospect with a lot of technique issues based on the very little i've seen.
