Well, they are cheaper.....and when you are smarter than the rest of the league, you can get away with it.

From what I've seen....we look soft as can be in the middle still, and the preseason backup thing can't be an excuse.....most of the culprits are guys they are counting on.

I'm just hoping this is all a ruse from genius Quinn, but I know when Im grasping at straws with this team....and I'm about on my way.

Some of you act like the players do not have a say in this at all. If the Cowboys call, they have to come running. Why would someone like Atkins want to come to the Cowboys and fight for playing time? Don't you think he is more interested in going somewhere where he would be the 75-80% snap guy? That way he can get another contract next year. I am sure he is better than most any DL we have but how much better and at what cost is the question. Do you cut young players to make room for a guy that will be here 1 year or do you cut the FA you signed this year to bring in another FA that we haven't seen in the system yet and would take some time to get up to speed and who knows what he has left anyway.

And you do not know that the Cowboys didn't call them and say, we have a spot, and they said no thank you.

You're kidding, right? Which player would say NO to coming to play for the Cowboys, especially with so much youth, talent and pretty darn good coaches with this new staff McCarthy has put together? I'm betting any free agent player would LOVE to come play for the Cowboys right now.

Agreed. Daylon Mack looks decently good.

Many players from other teams have said they would love to be a Cowboy, especially right now with this coaching staff.

I thought they should have gone DT in the 2nd round. I didn’t really understand the Joseph pick, but maybe it was a stretch for Milton Williams and they were still hung up on not getting a first round cb. Then to lose Gallimore, Hill, and Golston to Injuries. Then Bohanna somehow not bulked up yet. You’ve got to be thinking Osi or Bohanna as the DT. I’m upset the Pats got Barmore.
