A friend of mine purchased this razor at Sam's Club and was raving about it. He was using a Fusion Proglide prior to this and said this razor was better. I use a Panasonic wet/dry electric shaver and finish off my shave with a Proglide razor to get those tiny nubs that no electric razor will completely remove. I was pretty skeptical about this Duraglide razor but had my wife pick one up to give it a try and was very impressed. It's a 6 blade razor with a single blade trimmer on the back for your sideburns. You get 17 cartridges that also includes the razor with a cartridge for around $30. I found this razor to be more gentle than the Fusion Proglide and I got more than twice as many shaves out of a single cartridge. The lubricating strip never seems to wear out on this razor unlike the Proglide's lubricating strip that wears out after only a few shaves and can even fall apart.

My wife also picked up some shaving products by the company that makes this razor that are also sold at Sam's Club. They include the razor, a facial scrub, shaving oil an after shave balm. I liked these products better than the Art of Shaving products that cost more than double the price. I'm pretty picky and don't care about price but this razor and the shaving products are excellent for the money. One tip I'll give to those who are blade shavers is to always spray the blades after every shave with some cooking spray or keep them submerged in barbicide to keep the blades from rusting. It's water and the air that can result in microscopic rust particles forming on the blades causing them to dull quicker.

I don't shave that often. Mostly just use a Walh trimmer and live with scruff all the time. I do occasionally shave depending on what I'm doing that day, but I was thinking about replacing my Fusion with a Safey Razor instead.

I like my Mega 12 razor. 12 blades for the closest shave.

It's a bit more work but in the long run a safety Razor is going to be cheaper and arguably a better shave/experience. There's a bit of up front cost but after you buy the razor, blades are super cheap. I bought a pack of 100 blades for $20 and those will last you at least a year.

I prefer my Ultra 13 razor. 13 blades for the closest shave. o_O

I prefer the Overkill 49 myself. Kind of pricey so it's not for everyone.
