DWare contract status?

I wonder how difficult it will be to re-sign DWare now that his season hasn't gone as well as he did last year.

Management will probably not look to piss him off by lowballing him, but is he still going to be paid the big money he was expecting? I do wonder if his performance has something to do with Ellis leaving or another capable DE/LB on the other side of the line.

I know it's early, but I would think that JJ will wait until the end of the year before re-signing him now especially with 2010 being uncapped.

The status is he still has one. :starspin

I know this already.

I guess this can be a great motivating factor for him the rest of the season. Sounds like JJ is going to treat this like he did for Romo's new contract in waiting till mid-season to get it done and base it on his in-season performance to an extent.

Who knows....

If next year ends up being "uncapped" I suppose that would enable us to do some creative stuff with his contract. Maybe that's what Jones is counting on.

If next year is uncapped doesn't he become an RFA? Give him the highest tender and let someone else do the bidding. Then match or get a first and third.
