Two things:

On Madden, can you believe they rated Jared Allen a 99 and Ware a 97!? Please Ware is a better all around player!!! Not a big deal but c'mon son!

Do you think Ware is going to get some rest and miss a few downs here and there? After that game last night, Ware was on the post game and specifically expressed to the camera and Wade, yes he needs some downs off! Faulk stated how his legs looked fresh at the end of the game because of the downs off.starspin

I think if there's any truth to what he said (that he was fresher during the game and able to turn it on for 3rd downs) and it wasn't just media fluff, then they should consider rotating Ware a little to keep him fresh. I know that's blasphemy, but if it keeps him fresher for the key downs, it may be worth it.

Alternatively, they could have him drop into pass coverage on some 2nd downs and save some wear and tear (getting beat on by O-lineman is generally more wearing than running around in coverage).

Yea, but he always said that rotating with Butler helped him stay a bit fresher. But it could easily have just been media speak. You know, letting his teammates get some credit or whatever.

I think Ware was just excited and joking about the late game sack. He mentioned Butler getting those late game sacks because of the fresh legs. I doubt if you played Ware only on 3rd downs as they did last night that he'd be too happy.

Many of us have been saying for awhile that we need to spell DWare sometimes to keep him fresh for later in the game. Also, late in the game we need to give him the odd breather so he can come back out and wreak havoc.

There was a game a couple of years ago where he was so tired late in the game he would just stand up at the snap and not go anywhere. He was so tired he was picking and choosing which snaps he would play hard on. I don't ever want to see that again.

Wade, get DWare off of the field more on 1st and 2nd downs, especially early in the game and let Butler on the field some late in the game so Spencer and Ware can get a break.

Completely agree!

Butler and rest of the DL has proven themselves to me this game that they can handle plays and more importantly SPENCER is stepping up to provide that passrush when Ware is not in.

Resting Ware REALLY paid off when he was fresh during the last NO drive where he was just destroying the opposing LT.

Rest Ware more on 1st and 2nd so he can make IMPACT when the game is on the line.

BTW, KUDOs to Spencer. He is REALLY elevating his game!
